Whenever the ML Ak Hee wears the black mask it makes me think of Scarlett Heart Ryeo even though they are very different dramas.

I don't know why the screenwriters, producers couldn't see that, isn't that their job to be able to figure out what the audience wants? The SML and the FL storyline and chemistry is pretty much the only good thing left but the SML barely shows up in episode 30 and 31 and then he's gone. Now its centered on the Prime Minister and his family, like I care about him turning into a villain with the Empress and her whiny harem palace politics.

I got to the 34th episode and did so many fast forwards. Yes they butchered things alright. 😤

That order you mentioned in the novel would be ideal. Why would they relegate the SML to be a guest role and to have little screentime? What the heck were the screenwriters, producers thinking?

It's annoying when they have a better storyline and execution between the FL and the SML and leave us dangling with it.

Great suggestion, I am rooting for that especially a more developed story line between the same FL and the SML actor. It had so much potential there!

Only leads that are indecisive, have a confused look on their face half the time and make all their decisions based on their emotions when they are commanding battalions with hundreds of thousands of lives at stake. to be fair nothing against the actor just how the character is portrayed and written.

The scenes where CYQ pulls the FL close to him and the wedding scene where he shows he is serious about her was like OMG moment, release the butterflies 💘 It did develop quite fast and maybe they could have spent more screentime showing the build up.

The character would fit in with a Dumb and Dumber role but as a general in charge of lots of lives?? I know his character plays a part in the comedic side of the drama but its kind of off-putting especially when it turns serious. The screenwriters and directors need to rethink some of this.

👍 At first I thought it was me when I was scratching my head with the ML's personality, character, and intelligence in the first few episodes. Later on, I'm like this is HUGGGEE stretch this dude is going to survive being a general much less a love interest for an intelligent FL. For the life of me, I don't understand why the FL isn't feeling it with CYQ because it seems there are more audience members rooting for their romance than the ML.
