I was laughing when I read other commenters giving the feedback they wouldn't be as strong as JXN to resist him and would have succumbed to XW already. Such an intriguing if not complex grey character, handsome too.

I'm speculating if there is a possibility in a HE could the ML permanently inhabit the host's body and be with the FL? The host has terminal cancer so not sure how that will play out. It seems so tragic they had a fraught and messed up relationship in the historical past and after 1500 years they still can't be together without the baggage of revenge.

Yeah I agree with you guys I was about to post that too. I am finding the historical love story between them is better than the modern day one, perhaps it so tragic and forbidden with their love. Glad I'm not the only one in the historical camp.

lol, it was a bit of a dark scene and theme so injecting some humor on it. Its fantasy not reality situation so not condoning anything, I really didn't know what to make of it but glad JXN stood her ground and was strong for both of them. XW is a complex character with tons of trauma in his past and JXN also has gone through some crap herself so perhaps there's some unspoken understanding and uneasy kinship between them.

I liked it when JXN told him NO I will not die with you and she knocked some sense into XW when he was in the height of his craziness but I'm sure there's a range of emotions she feels with the situation.

What a scandalous kiss XW did to JXN in the caves, there was some open mouth action going on there with XW and his sickness. I don't know what to make of all of it because JXN is in shock with it all but XW looks like he's going to disrobe her on the spot and whip out his cinnabar calligraphy pen.
