Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your inclusion of your view of Jin Zhao's six years of silence.

As a person who was suddenly permanently disabled at the age of 30, and who had been extremely healthy and relied on her body for athletics yet was borderline already poverty level before that event... I have some experience.

It only took one night to lose my one close sibling dynamic due to how much trouble and effort it all was, and less than a month to lose all my other friends. If it wasn't for one random kind stranger I'd be homeless. Eight years later and I'm *still* doing physical rehabilitation. And completely impoverished.

I can completely understand Jin Zhao. There is so much trauma from the event, but more so from the impact on your heart and mind afterwards. Commenters and people in general really don't understand how much discrimination and prejudice happen towards disabled people.

Anyway, not trying to unload a sob story. I really appreciate Jin Zhao's arc. I found it uplifting and inspiring. And still thought Jiang Mu was right in torturing him a bit before forgiving him lol.

Just wanted to thank you for your inclusive review!

You're amazing! I have a giant Thai-shaped hole in my female centered list I created for myself work through. I'm very new to Thai media and you have so many great suggestions here! Very appreciative of your hard work.

Oof. I appreciate you clarifying that for me. You're right - I'd rather sit out for proper subs.

Just checked YouTube, depending on your region it's being uploaded on Youku's channel and there are auto-translated subtitles to English.

Creep and horror factor are high here. Just a warning. But that's to be expected πŸ˜₯

I'm watching this without English subtitles available because the subject matter is important and I've been really wanting to watch this - so far highly worth it!

Incredibly compelling, very well acted, and well paced in the first two episodes.

your list titles and descriptions are so funny!mdl ratings have always been confusing, especially for Japanese…
Ha, thanks! :)
Oh, so that's the story about Japanese ratings! I haven't watched many yet - you're the best for the info!

Title All Rise Spoiler
Anybody who completed the drama pls tell me who get the offer at last?
I have a different interpretation of the ending.

Yes, in the last scene the one partner lawyer lady (can't recall her name) mentioned that HR said the budget only has enough for one lawyer. However Zhuang just kinda gave a quick smirk and the other lawyers just gave brief glances. The previous night Ms. Bai had said to Mr. Song she wanted both Jiang Chen AND Ren Jia Tong. He seemed to agree. They said they were ready for the presentations.

Then it cut to Ren Jia Tong and Jiang Chen and they were walking toward the conference doors together and opened them and went in *together.*

Now, something important to note is that for these interviews and presentations you usually present alone to the partners board.

So why would they go in together? My take is because Jiang Chen and Ren Jia Tong are presenting together - as they did before every time they wanted to get out of either of them being disqualified or losing a chance when they were 1 vs 1 on an assignment, like competing to be Ms Bai's intern.

So they decided to team up and show the partners board why Jun An needs BOTH of them together, regardless of budget, as they are great individually but exponentially better together and a sound long term investment.

And every time they team up together, they always win. Thus, they got the offer. That's why there was no response show to the initial HR budget comment.

99% safe bet here.

Not me crying for Li Ke. This drama shows us that we are all humans. No one is perfect. I remember being annoyed…
Currently bawling as he's having his conversation with Ms. Bai. These conversations and experiences are what I'm here for. I'm glad he got to share some of his sister's warmth (shelled walnuts) with everyone before he left.

Why is tong tong flirting with Yan Fei instead of Jiang chen πŸ˜‚
Why not? Yan Fei is a girl's girl. Plus, tong tong only likes people that rival her, and Yan Fei finally started *showing up* πŸ˜†

OMG I HATE THAT LI- KE GUY SOOOO MUCH he's so manipulative JEEZ PLEASE ELIMINATE HIM NOW
They all get some character development growing from episode 1 and on. It's hard, but everyone has their own difficulties. That's one of the best parts of this drama - everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and there are no black & white characters. There also are no saints here.

Getting thrust hard into everyone else's realities and complexities in the real world and the workplace can initially bring out the worst in some, but that's also how many learn to grow. It's also one of the fastest ways to broaden and open your perception. A necessity not just for lawyers, but really for everyone.

After all, in real life we do all have our own difficulties and weaknesses we've struggled with that outsiders don't know about, right?

(I mean, hopefully besides murder and whatnot)

really like Guo Xiao Yu, her character feels so convincing and relatable. Not the top student, struggles more…
Her relationship with Ren Jia Tong is my favorite. They play off each other so well. Especially as roommates.

You are amazing!! Thank you so much for detailed reply! I learned so much. It's interesting, in the medical field, the left extremities are also referred to as "sinister" as well. Such as "AS" for left ear, or aural sinister.

Love everything you said!

I also thought the whole Peach Village was foreshadowing of their end. And it was exactly that - she said she wanted it, and she got that; her death at his hand, while he sacrificed his life force to preserve the demon + human world. Just like Peach Village incident.

Add in what you said about Madame Yin, etc, and it's great build-up storytelling, in my opinion.

Title Faithful Spoiler
It seems to me that his conflict is with society, not within. Embroidery his love and his calling, his safe heaven…
I think part of it may be that walking in on his mother having an affair with another man was a very negative formative experience for him. He hated the way his parents treated each other, and then he saw his mother being "dirty."

So later he sought to recreate his relationship with concubine Wu through the young adoring girls at the academy. You know how they say we date our parents? Well he's dating his dad's concubine. Choosing children who adore him and want to learn embroidery from him - then doing to them what was done to him - destroying their innocence.

He had a notion to start doing this, and the "soiled" wife sealed the deal.

Yeah dude was a victim of patriarchy, but then he became one of patriarchy's biggest weapons. Irony.

Just my speculation. I'm watching this right now, only on episode 22.
