I kept wanting ML to keep his word and punish her according to military discipline. Realizing she will never repent and his spirit seems permanently broken after this first hurdle, I am divorcing this drama after 8 episodes.
I don't know what the rating is about - this is really good! I just finished it.
Took a beat to get used to the spunky FL, but she grew on me. You even learn why she is the way she is (and the ML) and it's all pretty sad.
Love that all the characters are shaded grey here, even the villains and supporting characters. Grey characters in a world everyone's been trying to forcibly divide into black and white. It's never that simple. Laws of force apply.
I actually enjoy some short dramas, but the modern shorts storyline doesn't seem as diverse.
I'm with you, I do watch short dramas and there are some great ones. I just haven't dived into verticals yet. It's a whole new world for me.
Interesting note on the modern shorts - I don't have enough experience with them to form an opinion. Anything in particular you'd like to see in modern short dramas?
Truly a drama that would be ruined by having any tags other than "Short Length Series" and "Web Series."

I imagine it was kind of similar to her. She retained all of her memories accidentally using the image copied from the painting + phoenix pipa + song to send her back. He then purposefully used the "Leave" song + a new painting + I'm assuming her phoenix pipa or the phoenix qin to follow in her footsteps. He did promise with his love to follow her in life and death, and the emperor noticed her "Return" and their love, thus giving him the music score to go after her. So, yes. Retained memories, and I'd guess overtaking a body of someone dying?
