It was a very dark story but the ambience of the show wasn't appropriately dark enough. The cutesy moments were so jarring next to the dark ones. I would've been fine if it was just a dark show with disturbing concepts. I don't even mind that the show had these elements in the relationship. I just don't like how it was handled like an "adventure of the day" type of thing! Like I got emotional whiplash from the whole "would rather stab myself in the heart with a hairpin than be with you" to the "oopsie! The lady of the house thinks she's 17 again!π€" gag. I would've wanted more drama and plot after that unhinged melodrama went down! Not a second layer of amnesia.

Well, she did pull a interesting play for the kid but he still forced her to drink the thing. For me, it's the forced feeding that is really upsetting. It's my red line. It was just so messy and they could've ended it a bit less messy but...now I feel like I overrated it. An ending can change everything!
