Just getting out what i have on my mind rn bout this show:>Someone said sum about this earlier but theres romours…
oh yeah! totally! Because he probably feels guilty now and he already felt guilty about his brother so he'll have the backward idea of staying away to not hurt him more and ... yeah!
This is really sad...maybe try helping him? Literal r@pists are thriving on shows but this for a person with an issue? I know drug use is bad, I'm not excusing it by any means but it's not worse than murder/assault, right?
The book's ending was even more devastating than the show so if anything, I would expect an even sadder ending…
Yeah, I think they actually said they made that modern AU version because everyone was devastated and they wanted to soften the blow of the show's ending! That said, I still prefer the sad ending. Like it would honestly feel worse if it ended any other way. The sad ending is just right for the story. I'm curious to see how they might make this. The show was kind of immaculate. The cinematography, the costumes, the sets, they were all gorgeous, like I've never seen in any other cdrama. Big big shoes to fill, for sure.
Still the best Cdrama I have watched. I know there are many, more prestigious cdramas out there but I haven't watched those yet so this is still the best as far as I'm concerned!

So in both cases, the female lead commits suicide. But in the book, she suffers so much more and the days leading up to her death are just horrible. In the show, they soften it a bit. Her death in the novel was from desperation and sadness. It was just gut-wrenching. But it made total sense too. Because the male lead really mistreated her so a happy ending is just not possible. So the movie could just have a sadder ending or maybe, if they are being really conservative, an open ending? With melancholic vibes, maybe...
