I honestly don't see the attraction.I think these cold and quiet men are only interesting when they reveal depth…

I mean the fandom cultures are toxic, can't argue with that but trying to eradicate that with blunt force is absurd too, imo. If I know anything about fandom, then they're just gonna fan the flame like this.

Title Lost
A hidden masterpiece. It looks more like an artistic movie than a drama. It has a bold narrative. Soundtracks...…
For me the experience was like reading a book. Just a wonderful show and definitely a work of art.

Could anyone describe this show for me?
It's hard to describe but it's a very good show. The main character is a forty year old woman who is very depressed. She and the male lead have their lives accidentally entangled and the show follows them and the people around them. It's about people who feel lost in life, finding their footing and becoming a bit more satisfied with their lives. It's a very nice show.

Maybe he'll suddenly have a heart attack?
Yeah i've noticed that cdramas are becoming sort of underwhelming. I switched to kdrama for a while. Pearl eclipse is my fisr cdrama in months.
I'm guessing the government must be doing great in regards to matters that directly affect people's life expectancy, otherwise why would they do something that will put people out of jobs and create a crisis?

Wait what? So bl is over after all? Iqiyi is in trouble? What is China doing this to itself?
Well, that is so sad.

I dropped AOL too.
His aesthetics are nice but I still haven't found any show of his interesting enough to watch all the way to the end.

The way Bihong died was hilarious lol. She ran into a wall and was out.
She was unpleasant even before her last stunt so yeah, she got out too easily!

It's not the niceness that I have issue with. It's the lack of any personality outside of being perfect and loving the female lead that I detest. I prefer a good, nice, cookie-cutter love interest over an abusive, unhealthy one any day but being good is not equal to being bland. As Martial mentioned above, Ashile Sun is not a bland character but he is a healthy love interest.
I agree that there is no definite way to define any of these romantic archetypes but I just have a specific aversion to the second-male-lead types who are usually the subject for the "second male lead syndrome". They are not characters written with any dignity, they are just avatars of perfection that don't get the female lead. Probably because even in their fictional setting they are too perfect to be real so they have to lose the girl against all logic. Otherwise the writers would be forced to actually write a character arc for them and it's hard to make a blank page seem interesting.

Not explaining because I'm lazy, but to be honest this show is a tragedy, whether or not there's a happy or sad…
I'm going to give both Luoyang and Luo Yunxi's new show a try! If we end up meeting on those pages, it will be great fun!

I have to pass up on knowing this character, unfortunately. I'm still regretting my decision to watch AOL because everyone said Runyu is a good character to watch.

Youdu was a real bland potato though,no? He had no spice, just a cardboard ideal man. I get bored with those characters too. I want flaws and personality and emotions...too much to ask sometimes, apparently!

I try not to be too critical, either. Because at the end of the day, I watch shows to enjoy them but sometimes you just have to! I mean they are spending so much money on these projects. We owe it to their effort to take them a little seriously, right? They deserve fair feedback and all that.

Yes, I kind of feel bad for criticizing the actors because they sort of are trying and they are hitting their marks but it's just not enough sometimes? I mean they are good enough for the show to remain a good and engaging show. They're not ruining it but I keep imagining with better casting choices, this show could have been a true masterpiece. Because as you said it is character driven, if it had those characters performed to perfection, it would become a very memorable show for sure.
I still like it of course, or I wouldn't watch it but could be better. Realistically better. Like nothing is perfect but this could be better.

Hahaha! I wasn't planning to watch it either. I don't know why but I somehow developed this very negative mindset about it since the first time I heard about it!

In reality, being in a relationship with someone like Shifu would be so draining and restrained. Only in a xianxia…
I think amongst all the master love interests that I have watched and read, my favorites are definitely Zhousheng Chen and Chu Wanning. I can't settle for less anymore!
