I'm usually not into dramas with ending like this ykyk, but if I do pick one in the future, I hope it doesn't…
Where FL died without seeing ML or reading his letter, and she never finds out Huo Zhan Bai doesn't hold it against her for the fake prescription. That's unfortunate!
After the 3/4 of the episodes, the ML has no secen with the FL. It feels like his part is over, and a new story starts with a new ML (I mean with 2nd ML).
Also, the Medicine Valley had an ice cave where they could've preserved her body, knowing Huo Zan Bai would come. At least they could've let him see her for the last time wearing the wooden hairpin he gave her. FL has to die as there's no solution for the poison she takes in rather than transfer it person to person. Considering the FL's character, she wouldn't let someone else take it for her so, a tragic ending feels like the most fitting conclusion but I didn't like the way they did in the drama sadly. If they twist the ending a little bit, it could've been the best drama.
Both ML and FL excessively prioritized others over themselves. They forgot about their own happiness & well-being and wasted their golden moments - she's in her twenties, and he's in his early thirties. They lacked self-love, basically.
One thing I really like is the snowy landscape and their medicine valley.
After Fangs of Fortune, this is my second time watching Chen Du Ling in this drama. Her character every time feels like she's just there to bypass censorship. Though I don't like female characters in bromance drama much, especially if they're clingy to ML. But I have to compromise sometimes. Otherwise, I can't be able to see some great dramas.π₯²
Anyway, I really love the narrative arc of Li Xiang Yi's transformation into Li Lian Hua. Just like the symbolism of his name, Lian Hua or Lotus Flower, he was reborn as an invincible sword master to a miracle traveling doctor after the battle of the East Sea. And now he's yearning for a simple, tranquil existence, far removed from the intrigues of jianghu. To be honest, I tuned in just for Lian Hua's storyline because other scenes are really bland. :(
Yes, in the first episode, when he said, "It's my fault...I can't help you much," in such a serious way, I knew something was off. He seems more into her. And now, watching further episodes, I can see this intention clearly. Also, in C-Drama history, whoever said, "I'm so weak...." they turned out to be powerful later on. So I don't believe this guy.π
Casts are here so good-looking, like Winwin, Quan Yi Lun, Zhu Zheng Ting, Cheng Yu Feng & many more. Also, Mei Si is so cute. And that book guy literally gave me major off vibes from the first episode, lol.
This drama brings peace to the soul. It's great to experience the nomadic Kazakh lifestyle, traditions, and beliefs. I just don't have words to describe how beautiful this drama is! πΏ
I loved the show until they killed Lin Xiao Ran & Shen Qiu Wan! Was that really necessary ? They could've wrapped it up with a heartwarming trio friendship moment instead.
Wu Xie is really built differently! The number of times he fell, his backbone must be made of iron! His watch also survived everything - possibly it's bombproof too, for sure! π
Lan Jue is such an elegant man! No wonder everyone around him is concerned about him. His voice is also incredibly soothing. I love it when actors use their own voice - it adds to the authenticity. I think there's a different fan base for his down hair, lol
The storyline is engaging , and the leads' chemistry with each other and their friends is undeniable .The cast did a great job portraying their characters. A top rated drama in my book and one of my favorites. β₯οΈ
'Some truths are better left unspoken' resonates deeply with episode 28.
This drama is somewhat similar to 'The Lady and the Lies'. The only good thing is that Jiang Zhong Nan is helpful to Mai Ling Ling, unlike in 'The Lady and The Lies', where everyone betrayed Zheng Xue Er, including her friend Zhang Zhi. Fl is pretty, but the storyline is weak and she's not smart enough.
I loved it, but seriously, who thought making it a short drama was a good idea ? It had the potential to be a full-length drama. Anyway, another cliffhanger ending. Hoping for a second season to wrap up the story.

P.S . Both ML and 2nd ML got slap from FL π

Wen Ke Xing's flute has a melancholic melody, yet it's so soothing β₯οΈ
