Honestly, I only started watching this because it was on my waitlist, and at first it felt like every other revenge drama with the same kind of storyline, just executed a little differently. I wasn’t really invested in the beginning, but around episode 10 it finally pulled me in, and after that I was hooked. I found myself fully rooting for the FL and waiting for her to take everyone down.
I also really liked that the romance was more of a slow burn, because if they had rushed it, it probably would’ve come off as cringey. It felt more natural this way, especially since both leads had their own goals.
The only thing that didn’t sit right with me was the second FL’s ending. Her death felt way too easy for someone who kept plotting until the very end. If they were going to give her a sad backstory, I wish they had gone a bit further and shown her actually feeling some remorse or regret for everything she had done.
But overall, I’m really glad the FL got her happy ending, because I was definitely ready to drop my rating if she didn’t.
I enjoyed the FL's character; she was very smart. At first, the FL seemed like a weak person, but once the story progress, she leveled up so quick lol.
My main beef of the story was I didn't understand how, why, and when the ML fell for the FL? These questions kept popping up at the back of my mind. Also, I wish the FL had told the ML about their past instead of just keeping it to herself, which meant she clearly hasn't let the past go so she had a dream/nightmare about it.
Oh my! My favorite part of this whole drama was when sick ML finds out that FL had schemed against the annoying fiance girl because of him. You'd think the ML was going to start lecturing the FL, but nope he does the exact opposite and takes the blame for her behaving like that. Like props boy, you're the first to admit that you not giving her a sense of security will cause her to take actions into her own hands.
This drama can also be found on IQIYI with the same title.
This was pretty good until they rushed the ending. I'm just like whaaaat?...Did I miss something lol. I would have rated it higher if they had cut out some unnecessary scenes to add more time for the last arc. Bummer.
I went in with high expectations, but this one was so boring. Sadly, I have to drop this. FL was too weak for my liking and ML's character was sub par passable, but there was like no romance buildup for the leads and I'm expect to just go with the flow.
begging on my knees for part 2 of female fortune teller
Omgah! It was so good! One of the best vertical dramas I've seen so far. Got me hooked from the beginning to the end and still wanting more!
I think it'll get a green light for season two. The C-folks love it and are thinking it might even have up to 4 seasons because she still has 9 objects left. This drama is also ranked #1 at the moment for newly released vertical dramas.
TYY did really well in here such as with her voice switching from old to young. First time that TYY has impressed me; she really embodied the empress dowager role well even with a young and pretty look. Honestly, she was so gorgeous in here that the other female leads pales in comparison.
I did watch this at 2x. Although, I enjoyed the FL's character who was the main focal point of the show, I still think that it's a pity the romance was not directed at the leads.
Finally finished this after so many days. I've seen Chen Tian Xiang's version so I kind of get the gist of what this drama was about. Likewise, ML was still an interesting character, but the overall story was still pretty boring for me and the lack of romance buildup. In terms of storyline, I'd say this one was superior and although the romance development was lacking, this one was still done better. I wouldn't say I enjoyed this drama though, the storyline was just not for me, not much excitement.
