Tbh I personally prefer letterboxd to mdl for korean movies, I think mdl is more suitable for dramas and variety shoes.
Don't wanna be a bother but I'd like to also share some of her notable works; Kim Ji Young, Train to Busan, Sleep, Oki's Movie, Silenced, Our Sunhi, etc.

Acc. to letterboxd, it's an original story, set 10 years after the manga's middle school setting.

I haven't seen much of Taiwanese movies but from what I've seen "Murmur of Youth" is my favourite, I also liked Hear Me (2009). I've yet to see their more acclaimed works from Edward Yang or Tsai Ming liang's filmography though. I'd be glad you could recommend me some of your favourites!

If you like great performances I'd suggest you watch some chinese/taiwanese/hk movies. Their film industry has produced some of the greatest actresses world has ever seen and I'm not even exaggerating. Some of the extraordinary performers I can state off the top of my head are Gong Li, Maggie Cheung, Zhang Ziyi, Shu Qi, Tang Wei, and so on.
