Acc. to letterboxd, it's an original story, set 10 years after the manga's middle school setting.

I haven't seen much of Taiwanese movies but from what I've seen "Murmur of Youth" is my favourite, I also liked Hear Me (2009). I've yet to see their more acclaimed works from Edward Yang or Tsai Ming liang's filmography though. I'd be glad you could recommend me some of your favourites!

If you like great performances I'd suggest you watch some chinese/taiwanese/hk movies. Their film industry has produced some of the greatest actresses world has ever seen and I'm not even exaggerating. Some of the extraordinary performers I can state off the top of my head are Gong Li, Maggie Cheung, Zhang Ziyi, Shu Qi, Tang Wei, and so on.

Why are you counting yourself as a harasser? I'm confused. As far as I've seen you've not said anything foul or offensive about her (hopefully not), I'm only talking about the people who are abusing and insulting her not those who are critically analysing her acting.
Also, I hope you weren't being condescending when you used the term "sweetie".

I hope she bears the strength to tackle all these cyberbullies and I wish them harassers who hide behind screens to mend their ways and stop being such losers.
