I doubt that it will tell a longer story, I think (and hope) that it will only tie up the loose ends that were…
Yeah, hard to do anything else since both should preferably follow the webtoon, but good that they stick to the story at least! I guess I should just read the webtoon, apparently it has reached season 3 by now :O
I have awesome memories of Spring's Waltz though. This drama turned out to be painful to watch, I just dropped…
Oh, the comparison to those two dramas was not in any sense a negative one, I could just not understand what made me really think of them when watching Black knight - probably the classical music and the landscapes - so I found it a bit odd.
Yeah, I am just on the first episode of Black knight and have not really decided yet if it is worth my time aaaall the way through. The plot at the first stage seems interesting enough and I like the fairy tale feeling but it seems a bit sinister.
Wow, what a cast, came here for Yoon Do Joon but stayed for everybody else, and was that a member from BlockB in the first episode?
This is actually a first for me not finding the romance bit weird when the main actress is much younger than the guy (I could not watch Mirror of the Witch because of that and even though I loved Cheese in the trap the main guy did not look like a college student in my eyes). However, when it comes to the struggles of "adult" life she does not really fit the role and even though she does her best to fill in the shoes enthusiastically it still looks a bit silly. That said, I will keep watching this for the guilty pleasure that it is :)
I really like this drama but it's getting kind of anticlimactic? I though they would start to fight the big Evil at some point, to prevent the world from ending/setting hell loose, but I'm halfway through and they are still chasing ghosts?? -_- I feel like I have lost the sight of the main plot, however it is still fun to watch the antics they get into since the side stories are rather fast paced, but still, where's the story heading off to? *worried*
I really liked the premise of episode 1 & 2, with the scary/gory stuff and the mystery but it's getting a bit too campy during episode 5 - feels almost like a different drama. The back story of the grim reaper was a bit anticlimactic too, stared off cool but felt like they just scraped something together as an explanation just to be able to utilize the fantasy setting.
Anyone wants to let me know if it will it reverse back to that initial, darker type of setting/premise?
However, I did not really care for the couple of final episodes, too much wuxia for my taste and I would have liked to see everything set in the "real" world since the switch in the worlds kind of made certain aspects of the show meaningless, e.g. all domestic bickering and royal rivalry became meaningless in the grander scheme of things.
Chooon Hyang pops up in one of the final episodes in My Girl as the real long lost cousin, the one Yoon Rin has been asked to act as throughout the series.
I don't like it when they do a cameo but then spoil the original story from the other drama, like the one in You Who Came From The Stars; just makes me sad to suddenly hear that the couple from Dream High they broke up :( I want to keep my silly fantasies of the main couples of romantic dramas being together intact forever and ever.
There's a cameo in My Girl from Delightful girl Choon Hyang!
I think sadly that some of the older dramas don't carry well into modern times when watching or re-watching them now. I do remember seeing Goong and Delightful girl Choon Hyang when they just came out and both were lit (at least for me and I still see them as one of my favorite dramas), but thinking of all the dramatic plots and twists of those dramas right now just make me cringe, haha. I guess some dramas are meant to be seen at the time of their release - even as classics.
