is this "royal matrimonial water" a real thing? Like if it is I would love to look more into it but i…
It is a real thing, called this พระราชทานน้ำสังข์ in Thai, that was also the phrase that Thee used as well. To learn more, try searching up "Thai water blessing ceremony" or "water pouring ceremony."

น้ำสังข์ is basically holy water poured from a conch shell while. พระราชทาน something royally bestowed or given. Given this information, it is a large deal for Thee to object to the ceremony, especially given his family's high status with close royal connections.

Sorry, but could someone clear up the relationship between Krailert and Naran please? Are they both anonymous writers for the newspaper under different pen names/pseudonyms? I'm not fully understanding. Also if anyone could summarize, or detail the part where Krailert reads his work under his alias, I would also appreciate.

Does anyone know where to find the background music in EP 24 (12:07) and EP 21 (4:25). Also does anyone know the name of the man in pink in EP 24 at the same time?

Nont Tanont is m'y favorite 😅 I was one of his top listeners on Spotify, in the top 0.05% of listeners 😅 I like a few of Timethai's songs, but he's a bit too much for me now. As for Ink, I love some of her songs, especially the one she sang with Billkin

Yeah, I noticed all of those ones, there were more for me too since I'm into Thai music Ink Waruntorn, Timethai, and Violette Wautier. There were also many other actors I recognized Pa Prik and Khamtip from I feel You Linger in the Air, Heuang from Empress of Ayodhaya, Joke's dad from Hidden Agenda (also Joker's dad in Jack and Joker, Marisa's dad in Love Proposal, etc. he's been in a lot of show's that I've watched), Kawin, the guy working with Tew, in Spare Me Your Mercy, Jojo from My Stand-In was a monk in the Buddha episode (so many tattoos, easily recognizable😅), and Nan from Step by Step.

It was pure chance that I stumbled upon this show. I was browsing Reddit and saw a post about it, I hadn't even heard of the lead actors before. That said, I am absolutely astonished with the quality of this series, it's actually quite unbelievable. It's not only the production quality, but the actors, and most importantly the story that flows and brings everything together. I started Friday, and I've already binged to episode 9, the show has been absolutely amazing till this point diving into deep topics not well portrayed in many series. The tension between the leads reminds me of I Told Sunset About You, the visceral intensity of the relationship incessantly tugs at your soul through the viewing of these shows. My favorite genre of BL (and Thai shows in general) is historical with I Feel You Linger in the Air, Khun Chai, Empress of Ayodhaya, Love Destiny, and others being shows with which I have fallen in love. But modern shows done right are also able to pull out deep emotions from within, this is one such show.

As an Indian, word/place 'Ayodhya' holds great significance for us. It is not just a place or a word, but a place…
This is very well said, but I also think it must be stated that Thailand has been home to Indian religions (Hinduism and Buddhism) for what is nearing a millennia. The terms used in India have been changed to fit the Thai language and Thai cultural context. By the era in which this show takes place, Buddhism is the predominant religion in Thailand. However, Hinduism still had a very prominent place in the court environment as a result of the Royal Court Brahmins who descend from a lineage from Tamil Nadu (that still exists: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devasathan). So, in the show, as a result of Wamon being a Brahmin priest, Hindu practices are shown in the show especially when he performs ceremonies for Sri Sudachan and King Chairachathirat.

Irrespective of the depictions of Hinduism in the show, it must also be mentioned that as a result of the prominence of Indian religions in Thailand, Sanskrit and Pali have been liturgical languages that have heavily influenced Thailand. As a result, many words in Thai, in addition to place names are derived from these languages. With this there comes a choice of how to romanize the name. The choice of romanizing อยุธยา (Ayutthaya, the Thai empire) as Ayodhya is a stylistic choice, but doesn't mean it's incorrect by any means. Many royal and religious figures and places are romanized using Sanskrit romanization, an example is the former King Bhumibol which if transliterated using the Thai romanization would be Phumiphon (ภูมิพล). Another example is Suvarnabhumi which if transliterated using Thai romanization would be Suwannaphum (สุวรรณภูมิ).

As a sidenote, the Thai script can be used to write Sanskrit and Pali, this is true for nearly all of the scripts in Southeast Asia (ex. Mon-Burmese, Javanese, Cham, Khmer, etc.) as a result of the strong influence from Buddhism and Hinduism. The quality of the show is horrible 😭 What happened to Filipino shows after 2021 😭😭😭 Miko is hot, yes, but his acting absolutely horrific. I'm going to watch on and see how much worse this gets. I genuinely wonder how Charlie will end up with him. This episode four has been the worst so far 😭😭😭 Miko speaks so much English, but the sentences are like 😬 to the ears, he should just speak Tagalog the rest. I'm so discombobulated like the show 😭

I’m currently watching I Feel You Linger in the Air, and I can’t even begin to find the words that should be coming out of my mouth to praise the actions and emotions of Khun Yai towards Jom. My heart is full of emotion, my head completely engulfed with an intense sentiment of enamoration and infatuation as a result of the deep love Khun Yai has for Jom. His eyes, those eyes, the way they look at Jom. The way they stare intensely into Jom’s soul. Khun Yai and his actions are beyond those of fables, they entrap the feelings of the heart. I’ve never seen a character act so intense with their lover. I don’t know if it’s the era or the character, but my mind dares not wander to something else lest I dare forget the actions of Khun Yai towards his lover. Every utterance sounds as though a poem floats, dare I say, lingers through the air. The way Khun Yai holds Jom in his arms, even just the very way in which he addresses Jom as “Por Jom” makes the heart yearn for such a tantalizing love, a love that knows no bounds. Throughout the entire show, Khun Yai continuously pours out his entire heart for his lover. Though trapped within the societal conventions of the time, those restrictions don’t halt Khun Yai. This man is the very man of one’s dreams. The man of one’s imagination realized into existence. The body of Khun Yai, soft yet domineering. The world lacks a man with such beauty, such composure, such maturity, and such intelligence as he. In this I am reminded of my dear Thian from Khun Chai, but Khun Yai achieves to move my heart in a way I have yet felt. His tender touch, or simply put, his existence within space as a being with breath, makes one’s heart fall deep within the well of eternal love. In the simple act of using my eyes to watch a show such as this, I yearn, I long for such a love. A touch. A warmth. An experience of one of the same caliber of our Khun Yai. One that can be my soul and heart. When I return to lay my eyes upon this series, I shall prepare myself for the burst of profound emotions from deep within the conscience of my very being.

Did I miss something, or what's going on 😭 Everyone is saying that Pimfah likes Sailom, but I didn't see that at all, I thought it was love at first sight when Napdao came on the screen 🤔 I just saw her as clear as day into Napdao. So not a love triangle, but just a line.

Sailom -> Kanghan -> Pimfah -> Napdao???

The only reason Kanghan went for Pimfah was because he was struggling to accept his own feelings for Sailom. It's clear he fancies Sailom and not Pimfah. Anyway, just my own observation 🤧

This show has me writing Yorùbá poetry again, this episode was absolutely excellent. Most especially the scene of Khun Yai's drunkenness, the eloquence of the words he uttered simply warmed my heart. The entire interaction of him and Jom, the thumb, the eye contact, ugh it was just amazing. Not even only that scene, but throughout this episode the tension was palpable, just lovely. It honestly reminds me of Thian and Jiu in Khun Chai 🤧 we need more historical shows of this nature, just bliss.

I'm truly loving this show. For much of the show they are speaking the language of Northern Thailand called: Kam Mueang. I've been wanting to learn the Tai Tham script for some time, it's so beautiful, so I've learnt about the language. I have a question for Thai speakers: is Kam Mueang understandable for you, or is it difficult? I noticed for other shows when they speak in Northern Thai or Lao (Isaan), they often put Thai subtitles like in Manner of Death and Take of a 1000 Stars. Because this is an older drama, I would expect there to be less mixing of Thai in their spoken variety, especially the servants, but I'm not sure. Whenever Jom speaks people are immediately thrown off because he's speaking Thai 🤣 Anyway their language sounds lovely, and I would love to see more BL where they speak other languages of Thailand other than Thai 😅
