I happen to know JWalks while surfing about Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. I find out that the majority of casts are Yang Mi's fellows from the same company. JWalks is a talent agency, housing many actors but they don't produce drama. CMIIW Same with Tang Yan company belong to Tiffany Tang. It is either she brings her fellows or Yukee Chen brings them out. I think how it works in China showbiz?* Connection means a lot? But I don't think they restrain their talent to the bone like in Japan. They can freely in and out whenever the contract expire and could find new opportunity in another place.
*In Thai, every TV station owns private talent agency. They rarely hire free agent actor or talent from other TV. As for producing drama or movie, they make it alone or buying from a production company. Again, that drama must be filled with actors from TV's talent agency.
