Not too clear, in parts she says he would have won, but he also says she is better. He has some inner strength issues in the drama and so does she so it’s not clear if he had been full health who would have won. They never spar head on.

Me too I’m still watching OFL but for very different reasons. Like I’m fully invested in RWTW and absolutely rooting for the characters I want them to have their HEA so much because it’s been amazing so far! I’m watching OFL because its plot is literally so bad that I have close to zero expectations that it’s just a stress free fluff watch for me and I can just enjoy the eye candy. Like you just can’t take it seriously and it’s fine.

Totally agree, asking this question shows that he doesn’t get it. It’s not all about him! She never asked him to choose between business and her and in fact his actions already show what his choice is. If he doesn’t want her to see it that way, then why is he framing it as black and white for her?

I’m a bit worried if they follow the novel plot tbh because I think that will be quite hard for JH to forgive and get over, if XS or his family was involved in the downfall of Free Unicorn. Hope that the drama deviates in this. But I’m not sure, because in the first episode if I remember correctly the reason why XS went back to Shanghai was “free unicorn” so he may have had something to do with it from the beginning. Hope the drama doesn’t go there though, that would be way too much angst for me.
