First kiss happened in ep 14, it's kind of accidental though 😅
Thanks! Which I gather hasn’t started yet at ep 24 right!!
On Rising with the Wind Nov 11, 2023
Just started on this drama and watched 5 eps in one sitting I’m hooked already! Can anyone tell me if there has been a first kiss already and if so, which ep?

Wait what!!!? I’ve been rationing myself and saving episodes so that I can watch one ep a day over the weekend (last weekend was brutal) and I came online today only to see that they dropped ALL episodes?? Brain does not compute. What do I even do now? Omg. Watch everything tonight? I can’t. I’m not ready. Legit breaking down now 😝

This lovin' is too much!!! Yes! Every minute we see these two aren't we all just smiling. DJX flirting with SZ…
Aw yes the whole ep was a giddy high (they are so good flirting and all those loaded glances and small smiles have made us drunk on it) but I especially appreciated those last moments when SZ is breaking down in giggles with her girls, that rush of emotion, so real and relatable! This show is really amazing in capturing those feelings.

Omg this. I was thinking the same thing, it didn’t seem like it was supposed to be ironic, but the irony was not lost on me.

Anw my conclusion is that you should probably switch off your brain to actually start enjoying the show, a lot of it ceases to make sense if you actually start thinking about it

You are very welcome. This ranks as the most ridiculous drama I completed, it had just enough great moments to keep me going to the total train wreck of the end but at the same time it is absolutely WTF horrible.

Not sure why I took so long to watch this! It is a crazy mix of extremes - extreme cute (basically the cutest OTP that ever lived), creepy (all villian parts) and cringe (anytime a side character was on screen with the exception of Dad, Bongki and the SFL). It goes from one extreme to the other in the bat of an eye.

I loved the cute, could tolerate the creepy and had to mark this show down because of the cringe.

Really liked this one and it’s one of the recent jdramas that I actually enjoyed. Sweet and simple story. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, for some side character to turn evil or some deep dark hidden secret of the ML/FL to surface as the case will be in every other kdrama/cdrama out there; but it did not. That in itself was quite surprising and novel to me haha.

What did I just watch??? Honestly not really sure how I feel about this show. I understand the MDL ratings and…
Ok so I’m still confused about whether JE was actually still two timing NB with Seol Ah? We don’t see it happening, and at one point when JE and Seol Ah talk they imply that NB misunderstood that they were in a relationship (so they were not?) but at the same time he doesn’t deny seeing other people or having a girlfriend in his fight with NB. Was he truly in love with Seol Ah? What did she mean when she left, she was in love with him and wanted to be clear about it to him but she knew that he didn’t love her so she was leaving and never wanted to see him again? And why was JE angry about what NB told Seol Ah when they had that argument later on?

Basically the whole character or JE and his motivations is confusing and ambiguous and pretty much unexplained even at the end.

What did I just watch??? Honestly not really sure how I feel about this show. I understand the MDL ratings and the polarized opinions here. This is not really your typical kdrama at all both in terms of plot and production. It felt to me more like a western melo and there is definitely an art house vibe in terms of choice of music and some shots, the use of silence, pacing, dialogue choice.

What struck me most is the ambiguity, maybe I’m just too basic for the show but a lot of the plot and dialogue is implied (which is why I’m making the art house references). See comment below for points I’m still actually quite confused about. I mean, it was ok and perhaps the vagueness is the whole point and one of the themes (commitment vs ambiguity in healthy vs dysfunctional relationships) but the problem is that I’m just not used to it in my kdramas. This is where the “realistic” description comes in, which is pretty accurate because irl people are a mixed bag of emotions and nothing is ever black and white to themselves or those around them.

All in all, I still have mixed feelings about this show. I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it (I am a serial ABP-type basic kdrama rom com watcher) but it did keep me invested to the end, and I did think it was quite well done.

Is this similar to "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim"?
Yes premise of ML character is pretty similar. Even their hairstyles are similar. FL are also cute and cheerful type, although ABP’s is really goofy and some would find her more cringey. That said I enjoyed both dramas quite thoroughly. ABP feels lighter and more straightforward overall which I liked, because it doesn’t have that interconnected backstory/mystery drama that WWSK had.

Hello, can anyone give me a spoiler breakdown of what happens and how it ends please (feel free to be as detailed as possible, I live for spoilers)? Really want to watch but I’m not a fan of heartache and melo. TIA.
On Business Proposal Oct 4, 2022
Finally managed to binge watch and see what all the hype has been about. In short, really enjoyed it, I found it hilarious and cute and true to what it set out to be - a fluff ball of a rom com. It kinda let me down in parts esp I felt the ending was a bit lacking, but overall a fun watch.

The comments seem pretty divisive and I can see how show won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But it was a fun ride. Initially hesitated to start because I thought ML reminded me a bit too much of WWWSK’s ML down to the hairstyle, but he really grew on me. What a cutie. FL also from some angles looked so much like a photocopy of Song Hye Kyo (right? Surely I’m not the only one who thinks this). Show does require quite a healthy suspension of belief, but I liked that it didn’t take itself too seriously and there were some absolute LOL moments, which is honestly rare for me!
