The main problem with this drama for me is that it couldn’t decide whether to be an office melo or a rom com. I really enjoyed the first half but it went totally downhill in the last 15 episodes. They should have just ended when the main leads get together. I watched this for DD and DL who are great in it, although I have to say I really didn’t enjoy DD’s voice actor (way too whiny and sa jiao).
If you like rom coms and DD and/or DL and want to watch this drama, I would highly recommend stopping around episode 35. I ended up ff my way through most of the rest of the episodes. As mentioned by some others, the ending was a mess.
Have included a brief episode summary in comments for those who like spoilery things, so you don’t need to ff your way through (like me).
Omg I lol at your description of all the things the ML can do 😂 thanks for the review, this sounds like the fluff that I’ll typically enjoy but I’m not so sure if I can get past bad acting

Thank you so much for the info much appreciated! Now understand a bit better and feel so amazed at his journey, and truly my heart goes out to him - in my initial googling and research I found that he has acted in SO many dramas already but I don’t think there are any good/ popular roles aside from runyu and in LIS (which I love to bits)! Also there is so much media (adverts, vlog, fan meetings etc) that he does which is so much more than other popular actors, it’s so insane how hard he must have to work. I’m also counting down with you guys to end July for him. Hope he hangs in there as he looks increasingly tired and skinny in recent months 💔
Oh no, I really wanted to watch this cos of LYX but have been hesitating because of FL, I couldn’t finish FIYS…
I am 3/4 through love is sweet and I already love LYX, he’s great! Was looking for more of his dramas to watch but why do they not sound very appealing? If you thought CX wasn’t so bad in FIYS I’m afraid to watch this, haha, but I will probably check it out next just because of LYX and see how it goes!
Everything is good except FL's acting. It's really poor. I see nothing on her facial expression, it's a bit awkward…
Oh no, I really wanted to watch this cos of LYX but have been hesitating because of FL, I couldn’t finish FIYS because of her even though I love gaming dramas! I just couldn’t, it was pissing me off.
Really liked this drama and all the esports parts but I found the FL really hard to watch. She had only one expression almost all the time and that was to look wide-eyed and confused. Her character was really passive too, not at all like the strong and aggressive gamer she is supposed to be.
I am not sure whether I am critiquing this show here or general Chinese standards, but one thing I really disliked…
Totally agree with you on the movie-FL. The main down point of the entire show for me was also the drama-FL/ the way she was portrayed by the actress. After watching the movie version (which I didn't really like) I was annoyed by how much better she could have been in the drama. A perfect pairing for me would have been the movie-FL with drama-ML.

This is my first romcom cdrama and I'm afraid the bar has been set too high. I've been trying out some of the other recs but keep having to come back and rewatch this because it's the best!
