I love that they devoted a third of the drama to the epilogues. In many, if not most, romance dramas they end with the couple getting together and/or the wedding . Some has a few seconds or minutes devoted to events after the wedding. These dramas usually leave us hanging or wanting for more, wanting to know their dating/married life. Thus, for me, YAMG is very satisfying. Fluffy yet mature and with 'realistic, age-appropriate' issues.
I read the novel while waiting for this week's episodes. The drama is really a faithful adaptation even the dialogues, the additions are more like what happens in the background of some scenes not detailed but left to our imagination. After reading, I can also say that the casting is on point. The drama needed leads with impressive over-the-top visuals. Every chapter stresses how handsome YT is, more handsome than any other celebrity or male in the story. Given YT's age, Yangyang is really perfect.
QJJ is definitely good for him. Brings out the cheeky n mischievious side of him. Make him come alive n be competitive,…
They complement each other. Agree that he needs her to add color to his life, and as he has pointed out, QJJ is his navigator, she provides his life's direction. On the other hand, YT is QJJ's happiness, her long-time dream, and well, her glory.
Just wanna say I started this yesterday and now, I can't wait for next week's episodes. Such mature and realistic, relatable conflicts. Though I found some of the work/experiment scenes too stretched out, over-all the pace is good. I have not seen anything with YangYang since LoveO2O, and I must say his acting has improved a lot.
I can feel like the FL is acting, which is not a good thing. It feels unnatural to me. This is an OK adaptation. I kinda like that the ML is not so aloof here and more 'human' compared to the cdrama, this version shows his emotions along the way, not just at the end.
I am watching this now and currently in Ep 7. I know about the vote manipulation, so I feel more for the boys. They were working really hard trying to achieve their dreams. I started this with no bias, I do not know any of them but as I watched, I understand why Kim Yo Han was consistently ranked high -- he has tons of charm and though not the best in terms of individual talent and not the best looking (though way up there), he is a quick learner and always delivers. He looks sincere and somehow makes you smile, guess he has the X factor. I hope these boys still succeed.
Can't agree more I honestly started watching with high expectations and hoped it would get better every episode…
I totally agree that this is like watching the same episode 14 times. But somehow I endured, maybe the hope that it will get better in the next ep kept me going, or maybe just because Bua is so pretty and I like her fashion here . Plot is nada. Lol
I just watched the award ceremony and I must say this -- what's with her clothes? Baggy jeans to a prestigious award ceremony? And, what's with the CDrama Female Leads and overalls?
I liked this drama. Slow pacing, a bit sad and painful but heartwarming at the same time. The acting of the leads is very good. I would have loved to see more happy and romantic scenes between the leads, especially scenes that would show us Ha Won's love for Seo Woo since we know how much he loves/d Su Ji. Maybe if this was not cut short we could have seen more of these.
The more I watch actors' promotional interviews for Mouse, the more it becomes clearer LSG’s important role…
I agree. Choosing Lee Seung Gi given his good image is deliberate. The role of Jung Ba Reum needs to be played by someone that people will be able to sympathize with despite what he has done. The cruelty and gruesomeness of the crimes can make people's blood boil, you'll hate the criminal to the core. It will be hard for the audience to sympathize with the killer so it really helped that it is Seung Gi. People/Korea loves LSG, his smile melts our hearts, so we can somehow 'forgive' and sympathize more with Ba Reum (after surgery).
Just finished watching this. Like many, I have been putting this off for a while. I liked it, excellent action scenes. But I would have preferred for it to have a better ending -- especially if there's no more succeeding season/s. For me, it was not an open ending, it was not really an 'ending' at all.
I just re-watched this. Definitely a lot of plot holes and CGI needs a lot of work, but still I was entertained. My standards are probably higher now than when I first watched this in 2017/18 making me want to lower my rating, but I decided to keep it. Still interesting and most importantly, entertaining.
This is so much fun to watch. We can really distinguish Seung Gi's variety experience from that of Jasper's. LSG leads the entertaining and Jasper catches up fast. Jasper's 'innocence' balances LSG's cunning. Great casting and awesome destinations too.
