Like many dramas, for me, the main villain had it easy with no real punishment commensurate with his evil deeds. XBJ just died of illness, the short painful moment maybe seeing his son preparing to support his enemy but he has expected this. Even his adjutant had it easy considering how cruel he was.
The best draw for me is the character of the FL. Rarely do we see smart, brave and not annoying FLs in drama land, and the character is consistent throughout. I especially liked it when she said that she is not his Achilles heel but his armour.
My least favorite character if the ML's sister. She is annoying, and I really did not like the angle of her staying at the Pei's camp since, obviously, she can be used as a pawn against her brother.
Kudos to the mother of the second ML, XGY, for raising such an upright son even in the presence of an evil father. TXL summarized it well, XGY is 'misplaced' in the world they live in -- it is not good or pure enough for XGY. Evan Lin is well-casted in this role.

This is my first time watching the ML Chen Xing Xu, he is really handsome and has good acting skills. I like the facial expressions that he makes. I'll check his other dramas.
I am liking this so far. Kim Tae Ri is awesome! Though I know how old she really is IRL, it does not bother me at all, she is so good! NJH and the other cast are doing good too. I like the set-up of the IMF crisis, the leads complement each other, filling in a dire need amidst difficult times.
I was entertained by the first quarter, then it became a bit repetitive and dull, entertainment picked up again around the 3rd quarter, then lots of annoying scenes and poor decision-making that made me almost lost interest. Took an effort to finally complete the last eps. I was particularly disappointed with the CG, the sets and props look too fake/cheap considering that this stars A-listers. The acting was good, but the production and storytelling was a bit lacking IMO. However, happy to see WYB playing someone with a different personality from his other wuxia works (Lan Wangji, Erlang).
Started really good with Dew and the silent crying but became a bit off for me when Gorya started 'screaming'. But the hug scene was good, it was a natural progression between friends trying to console each other.
Though I question a lot of the logic and decision-making in this drama, I have been totally entertained. The casting and acting are very good. The leads have great chemistry, PSH did exceptionally well with his comeback from military.
I hope the leaked Ep 12 will not significantly affect the rating in Korea. Ratings are important for the artists and the whole production.
