I normally don’t really like romcoms especially office romances where one person is in a position of power over…
There's something really appealing in this kdrama, and of course we know it's not the plot. Given its popularity all over the drama world, it is safe to say that it has something that appeals to picky and non-picky, veteran and newbie, older and younger, drama viewers.
10 days after the last episode aired, still #2 TV show in Netflix Philippines. Likely true for other countries as well. Korean and international fans are loving this show. Light, fluffy rom-com.
I rated this high because I was entertained, had so many laugh out loud moments that made my days a little better.
I agree with you all….their first big fight and the writer didn’t even give them a chance to have the fight.…
If I didn't know the ending beforehand, I would have thought that they will get back together too. Maybe not at that moment, but after YJ gets some kind of therapy/healing and HD gets her needed break from her burdens (counseling would have helped too to let go of her 'anger/regrets' towards her mother that is carried on to YJ). Same, I also thought it was so out of place for HD to get married and have a baby while at the peak of her career, considering the age of her daughter, she would have already been born before the 2009 live interview.
Exactly my point, people tend to justify the ending by saying, first love dont last.Another argument is reality. But…
Agree. We saw the kind of love they have for each other that was developed over the years amidst challenges, so it is hard to believe that they cannot overcome the 'obstacle' the writers decided on to break them apart.
A break needed to happen because they don’t end up together. My gripe is the way it happens. Not everyone ends…
Yup, I just threw in the 'realistic' word since this is what a lot of people use as an argument for the break-up. For me, it's totally opposite -- if it were to be more realistic, they would not break up that easily OR they will find a way to be together again considering the kind of love that they have for each other.
Agree, not all first loves end up together, I have no issue with not being end-game but I have issue with the plot or situation that ended their relationship.
I just finished ep 8 and I'm not sure I want to continue.
Same. Watched until Ep 8 while it was airing then somehow do not find the urge to continue. It was getting boring, I was not entertained anymore. And, too much drama and complication for what I think is a 'rebound' relationship.
I put this on hold after ep 12 since I got a strong feeling that the drama is getting more melodramatic, but finally watched the last 4 episodes today. I now understand why many people are complaining about the ending. I agree with some comments here, that the break-up seem too forced. HD and YJ relationship has a very strong foundation, they were good friends and have been through a lot, so I don't think that they can't endure and overcome the NY stint, the distance separation was not even that long yet. The second couple, who has a more teenage kind of love, was not even fazed with the change in nationality and distance. But HD and YJ broke up just like that? Not that realistic to me.
4 "unaired" episodes to be released? I wonder how true this is, April 1 is long gone.https://lovekpop95.com/2022/04/11/sbs-will-air-the-remaining-4-unaired-episodes-of-a-business-proposal/
This is exciting, but do they not mean the unreleased BTS though? Just released today.
This is the only adaptation that I finished, so I think better than the others or maybe because it's shorter? From beginning to end, I was team Ren. Thyme was just too scary violent toxic kind of person.
So far I am liking this short drama. Agree that the plot is not something new, but it is exactly why I chose to watch this, I like friends-to-lovers tropes. And I like that it's short, so not much unnecessary filler scenes.
I didn’t get the purpose of that scene either - just stupid and unnecessary. I’m also thinking maybe what…
I was thinking the same, I was confused why would Hari imply she still has feelings for Min Woo. I thought it maybe bad translation, or do they want to show that Hari is not petty to suddenly completely switch her feelings since she was in love for 7 years? Or was the feelings she was referring to anger/disappointment? But, still to me, that scene was unnecessary and such a waste of precious last ep time. They could have cut that scene to have time for a wedding at the end instead.
I find the animations really funny., they add to the vibe of the drama. Laughing so hard at the pink hearts above Hari's friends' heads as they were swooning over 'boyfriend' Taemoo. The 'money' around Taemoo with his unlimited credit card was LOL funny too!
