I was not really impressed after watching the first episode. It was just ok to me.
However the second episode was so good I end up simping for the leads and the drama as a whole. I love the fact that both Jongchan and Seunghyeon are already secure in their sexuality. I'm honestly tired of the coming-of-age drama or the gay-for-you trope so this is such a breath of fresh air for me!
I read the first two chapters of the webtoon I while ago and I guess what they left out in the adaptation (or…
Most Korean men do their military service during college, so it took around 6-7 years for them to graduate college with a bachelor's degree.
Assuming he went into college at 18, did military service inbetween, and went into master's right away, he would finish his undergrad at around 25 and his master's at 27. He might have taken a gap year too so starting his first job in his late 20s is actually not uncommon in Korea.
I feel bad for the people who might see "The Untamed" number 2 and decide to watch it. Probably the most boring…
I share the sentiment. It's not my cup of tea and I find it difficult to get immersed in the story. I put it on hold last year and I have no desire to continue tbh.
I started watching this because of Hyolyn's OST and omg it's such a crackhead show?? I've always loved KDY too so I'm happy that he is getting main lead role.
A human falling in love with their pet is very weird plot and wrong on many levels. I don’t think I can watch…
I mean, we grew up watching a story about a woman who fell in love with a frog, a man who fell in love with a fish, and another woman who fell in love with a monster that kidnapped her. I don't see anything wrong with this one tbh. It's not like Jungwoo kisses a dog the way a certain female character kisses a... frog.
This is so good. That's all that is needed to be said about this drama.Oh, and how I wish it had more episodes.…
Speaking of the characters, Togawa is very handsome. I totally agree with that.
But Nozue? Lord. I can see myself falling hard for him. His old-school gentle personality is making my knees weak. Somehow reminds me a bit of Kinou Nani Tabeta's Shiro, except Nozue is much less grumpy.

Oh, and how I wish it had more episodes. But sometimes the short, straight to the point ones are the best ones so I guess I just have to settle with it.
Just finished watching this. Tbh, I was not interested watching this because I heard one of the male leads is literally a bully and I honestly can't stand a drama that serves stockholm syndrome where the perpetrator gets romanticized.
This one is different though since Hira himself is... problematic lol. It's like watching two people with some serious issues who weirdly match each other well. A bit difficult to process imo, but I'm glad that Japan is serving something different. And they execute it really well too! Idk but I feel like they really touch upon the issues that the two male leads have in such a good way that in the end I am ok with how things went.
When Koyama appeared I was so afraid that I'd end up hating the drama because I really want him to end up with Hira. But once again the drama shows how problematic Hira is that I end up being totally relieved that Koyama does not end up with him lol. He is such a good man. He deserves someone better.
I really love Da Woon's subtle expressions! Many BLs deploy very dramatic facial expressions so it's a breath of fresh air to see someone emotes with just the right amount of facial movements. I love Si Won too and I'm happy that he is being straightforward about his feelings! Communication is key and this drama portrays that well.
Why was the purpose of Ci Won's 1st time meeting Da Woon at that film studio? They were going over some papers…
Si Won was elected the class president at the freshmen orientation and Da Woon didn't join the orientation, so Si Won had to meet with Da Woon to explain some college-related stuff. Da Woon was doing photoshoot for his friend's online shop so he invited Si Won to the photoshoot venue to meet up and talk about the college stuff.
Umm what is it with the rating?? Probably just me but I love it so much based on the first episode. It's got the angst, got the sweetness, got the budget, and even though it's the same ol same ol school-based BL but it also touches on so many relevant issues.
The height difference might be heteronormative in a sense, but we have several norm-defying BLs and LGBTQ+ drama nowadays. Let people have ones that fit the tall tsundere guy/short cutesy guy standard.
And the comparison with Semantic Error is so unnecessary. I love SE, but if some people bring up the problematic heteronormative trope of CBAW then others can also bring up how SE is just another masc4masc BL.

Quite a steep downgrade after the excellence that was Eternal Yesterday. Hopefully it gets better.

K-BL is on a roll lately and I'm loving it.
