Just curious tho, how different was he? Is there any picture on google?
I also think it's a combination of nose job and weight loss. I'm probably one of the very few who like the change though lol, especially now that he has gained more weight.
He looks skinnier and his facial features are more prominent (?) I think. Many people jump to plastic surgery/filler right away (which I don't blame since the change is not subtle) but drastic weight loss is another plausible explanation imo.
he looks so different it's crazy, but no, he definitely doesn't deserve the hate he's receiving :/
I honestly also feel that they focus too much on someone's look. I empathize with these idols cause this heavy scrutiny on their physical appearance could really mess up their mental health.
I feel bad for him due to the backlash he receives for his "new" look. I don't want to speculate whether it is because of plastic surgery, filler, or weight loss (or a combination of them) but I honestly think he looks more mature (and hence, better) with his current look. His acting has also improved tremendously. Can't wait to see more of him ❤️
I'm coming back to MDL just to say how comforting and entertaining this drama is. I'm very picky and it's not easy for me to really like a drama, but this one hits all the spots despite how cliche and generic it might be. Let's see how it goes til the end, but so far it's a 10/10 from me.
Pretty sure it's HyunA still or Jessi...probably Hwasa if it's not the two of them.
Yes that's true. Korea is definitely more on the conservative side and it seems like they're getting even more conservative. They used to have Sistar, Brown Eyed Girls, AOA, and other sexy girl groups and now they have none.
Pretty sure it's HyunA still or Jessi...probably Hwasa if it's not the two of them.
Hyuna seems like she wants to move on from her sexy image, but she was definitely the top bombshell until a few years ago. Same with Gain. She was known for her sultriness but she hasn't been active for a while. Hyolyn literally caused uproar for Dally but Korea thinks she is ugly (which I still don't understand). I think Hwasa is also not considered as sexually attractive by Koreans, but she's popular among international fans. Jessi IS sexy but again, not sure if Koreans see her as the country's sex icon.
I agree with other user who mentioned Lee Hyori. I think she's the nation's bombshell.
This is such a handy guide! I wonder if Korea has a "nation's bombshell/sex icon" title a la Marilyn Monroe/Pamela Anderson to go with the "Nation's Sweetheart" title. Is it Hyolyn? Gain? Hyuna (eventhough she no longer has a sexy image with her recent releases)?
That "Taekyung is still thinking about Daon" sneak peek is a misleading trap. It must be! They are playing with our hearts and now they are laughing cause we are falling for it! :((
It's been literal months since I genuinely loved a BL drama, but this one hits all the right spots. I kept my expectations low due to its school setting but I was dead wrong, and I'm glad I was.
The audacity of comparing this with TT trash. I don't care how offended you get by cheating, but cheating IS NOT…
Yes, TT is trash. But if your moral values lie on the legality of something then we have nothing to discuss. Homosexuality is considered a crime in some countries, fyi. Is homosexuality worse than cheating? Absolutely not.
I didn't say what Teh did was comparable to what Tharn did. In no way I insinuated that IPYTM is as bad as TT, or Teh is as horrible as Tharn. But a toxic lead is still toxic regardless of their degree of toxicity.
i don't understand how anyone can compare this show to tharntype considering the SA, the dubious consent and many…
"[...] in the way that both series offer something great but I just can't see past the toxicity showcased by the lead characters and how they seem to find a way back despite the wrongdoings they have done."
A toxic behavior is still toxic regardless of its degree. I didn't say it's equal to TharnType. I said it *reminds* me of TharnType. Similar feelings but of course different level of toxicity.
And I have to disagree. Teh is a bad person. Not as bad as Tharn, but still bad. In addition to cheating, he also gaslighted people repeatedly. This is why his friendship was ruined and he was left alone. I won't come to his defense because I seriously think he needs some self-reflections and learning to do. The last episode kind of hinted that he has learned his lesson, but they did not flesh it out so the viewers do not know for sure. That's one of this series' flaws.
I can forgive a cheater, but I will never get back together with him, especially when the cheating is premeditated. Great execution, but I just can't enjoy the story. It reminds me so much of TharnType, in the way that both series offer something great but I just can't see past the toxicity showcased by the lead characters and how they seem to find a way back despite the wrongdoings they have done.
Nadao also makes the supporting characters easier to root for than the lead characters, which lessens the enjoyment that I receive from the main couple. To me, this is one of those cases where everything is objectively great but it still leaves me unsatisfied and, at some points, disappointed.
Sometimes I wonder how tired Fluke must be for carrying this drama on his back. The fact that Fluke and Earth, the top two openly gay BL actors in Thailand, are in the same show just made this drama even more legendary. Definitely something that people will revisit often in the long future.
