The director is a pedophile, a child groomer, and a sexual predator who keeps making controversial and problematic contents such as:
• #AYUDamn - a short film about distributing ‘ayuda’ (assistance) to people who are undeserving like single parents. It implies that single parents often have multiple partners, thus, multiple benefits. • Virgin Marie - a short film about a young girl detailing how she was sexually harassed, only to end with her laughing it as a joke. It implies that rape victims, especially children, are only lying. This is insensitive to actual victims who are brave enough to speak about their trauma. • The Cousins - supposedly about two cousins and their incestuous love. This concept obviously received backlash as soon as the director posted the details, so it was eventually canceled.
Sakristan (altar boy) itself is already insensitive to the issues of religion and same-sex relationships in a highly religious country wherein homophobia is still rampant.
Don't worry. Keep going. I love how Ling Wei cannot succeed with her fake damsel/sweet acts.
oh, totally! i guess it’s one of the reasons why i’m really enjoying this—because Qin Shen sees right through Ling Wei and has been firmly drawing a line between them since the beginning. can’t wait for next week!
why does it seem like nothing is happening but i'm still loving this drama so, so much?
the two leads obviously like each other but no one's making a move. this should be frustrating but i'm actually really enjoying their undefined relationship and jealous antics. this drama is very go-with-the-flow.
Are all eps sub?? I wanna watch it but no subs only 11 eps are subbed???
No, official subs come out every Thursday to Sunday. Episode 12 was just released last night, 13 will be released later (Saturday), and 14 will be released tomorrow (Sunday).
I’m Filipino but I still have the subtitles on to compare the translations. Some lines don’t fully hold the intent or impact when translated but I swear, there is so much heart and care poured into the writing. Everything is on point, down to the littlest details. Even the lyrics on specific scenes are very hard-hitting and fitting. And I will never shut up about how the show uses a lot of Filipino pop culture references, takes a jab on sociopolitical issues, and educates the viewers.
i watched both Skate into Love and My Unicorn Girl where he played as an ice hockey player in the two dramas. turns out, he really is a hockey player! so nice.
GUYS I DEADASS CHOKED ON MY MELONA WHEN CAN ASKED TIN TO HAVE SEX WITH HIM like y'all weren't kidding when y'all mentioned how sex-obsessed Can is—boy was begging for it and a round two lmaooo i was so embarrassed
YEEEES, I love her as Jabami Yumeko!!! She does the I-have-a-hidden-agenda smile so well lol
I've only seen Hamabe Minami in Kakegurui, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas, and WataDou so far but I really like her in those. Looking forward to see her in the Promised Neverland!
“Take a leap forward. Perhaps, what really fascinates you the most is not the youth itself, but everything that has appeared in that short amount of time, and the glittering memory that will remain in our hearts forever.”
A beautiful closing remarks for such a wonderful and nostalgic youth drama!

I swear, this drama has Filipino pop culture easter eggs everywhere. I love it.

I started re-watching Pride when I saw this article last night. Gosh, I still love it even after all these years. Still can't believe she's gone. RIP.
