How much does Huay yong love that he has spent years researching medicine for Mr. Sheng's father.
Not that many years actually. SSY's father was diagnosed two years ago and that was when Hua Yong started. The crazy thing is how much money he spent 🥹 He sunk 100 billion per year on the drug development research. He also personally goes through every single detail related on the development, and fast-tracked everything he could related to it. By the time SSY's father needed it or face death, the medicine was only at phase II clinical trials (which is better than nothing). SSY wanted to do the same, but he didn't hold as much power over his company than HY did, nor does ShengFang BioTech have as much wealth.
Con someone confirm it? I heard the main couple had been officially declared a fixed pair, which is a first in…
You basically got the answer from the previous commenters, but I can explain it a little more. XingQiu are not officially declared as a "fixed pair" the way that some Thai actors in the BL industry are. Nong Jian, the authors of this novel and main directors of this drama, signed Desire4 into their company as individuals, not as pairs. Nong Jian explicitly stated during their audio live stream that the contracts for them are for 3+ years and very generous. They will respect the guys' opinions on what they want in the development of their careers. They asked XingQiu if they were willing to act as a pair again in another drama, and XingQiu agreed. XingQiu's CP name, CP fandom name, and CP color were all originally chosen by fans of the ship themselves, until the recent formation of a new official team (working for the company) that accepted and acknowledged these. So XingQiu will have their own little team officially working for their ship activities online and possibly offline, but they are not forced to collaborate if they do not want to.
Chen Wang's exact dialogue is "婉娘跟蕙娘本就是亲姐妹" which translates to "Wan Niang and…
Yes, it's a translation problem :\ If they chose the word 'biological' then there wouldn't be so much confusion. The word '亲/qin' alone means 'relative/personal', and together with the words '姐妹/jiemei' translates to 'sisters by blood relation'. The younger sister (Chen Xiaoxi's biological mother) addresses the older sister's husband as brother-in-law, as well. Unless the two women were further specified to be half sisters or paternal cousins - which has not been said by any of the characters in dialogue - then they can only be biological sisters. An example I can think of from the top of my head from a bigger drama is in "Under the Power", where Lu Yi (Ren Jialun's character) has a 表妹/biaomei/younger female maternal cousin who was in love with him and wanted to marry him.
Sooo I've been hesitant to watch this cuz I felt I wouldn't like the main story about the enigma lying and pretending…
Then that just means this plot isn't your cup of tea. Most of us enjoying this drama came into this knowing that the plot revolves around an Enigma pretending to be an Omega to reel in an Alpha, and the drama is exactly what it says on the tin. There's lots of other dramas out there; there's no need to consume something that you can't enjoy.
Personally, I think Xiao Xi killed himself. He looked content to die. That being said, it's a Cdrama, so a cliff…
Same thoughts!! Although it saddens me to think that he died, he did turn his body to allow himself to fall head-first. It would take a miracle to survive that 😭
For anyone who knows Mandarin in the original version (spoken and written!) WHAT DO THEY CALL TWO WOMEN WHO ARE…
Chen Wang's exact dialogue is "婉娘跟蕙娘本就是亲姐妹" which translates to "Wan Niang and Hui Niang are biological sisters." Hui Niang also addressed Chen Weishan as '姐夫' which is specifically brother-in-law (of an older sister), so Chen Xiaoxi and Li Jianwei are maternal cousins. Might I add though, for anyone who may see this, that historically in China, maternal cousins did have relationships/married as they did not carry the same last name. (Women who married out were no longer considered part of their father's lineage, but of their husbands' and thus applied to their children.) However, this is definitely no longer accepted in modern society.
In the script Nan Heng is a villainous ml and has every reason to be hated. But now what we are seeing here he…
I think Song Xiaoyu's appearance is what changed him from turning into the full-blown villain he was by the end of the script. His uncle's machinations first stained his name (Empress' death and giving intel to enemy country leading to the loss of the Battle in Pingrong and two other cities), and then after he returned to the capital, he continued to take his uncle's advice. It's likely that by the end, he just accepted the terrible reputation because there was nothing else left going for him aside from becoming the bad person his circumstances shaped him to be and taking the throne for himself.
Sorry, I tried. I really tried T_T Skipped some episodes, came back to it until the end. But this got worse and…
I think it's just different people have different opinions. To me, I don't find Song Xiaoyu that strong as a woman for most of the drama. She started off as someone who has no ambitions, prefers to take the easy route, and terribly afraid of death (though most people are so that's not a bad thing). But you'll see her moments of bravery induced by a strong desire in overcoming her fears in order to achieve her desired result. People can have flaws because humans are complex. Also, in my perspective, I don't think it was unfair the way she treated Nan Heng as someone who she started off disliking/fearing. She drew boundaries because she was trying to avoid the plot from furthering into her eventual death. However, you can compare this to how she treats Li Shiliu (Nan Heng in disguise). She's ride or die for him: believes and supports him, listens to him, praises him to the heavens, tries to save him when she's not even a fighter, willing to go against Nan Heng for him (she's lucky that Nan Heng is Li Shiliu), etc. People treat people differently depending on their relationship with that person. Just because we as viewers can see that Nan Heng has fallen hopelessly in love with her - because he, while disguised as Li Shiliu, received the love that he was always craving for from her - and we deeply sympathize with him doesn't really mean anything to her if her understanding and perspective of him doesn't change. And those changes only happened after he opened up to her to reveal to her what kind of a person he truly is, and well, when his identity as Li Shiliu was forcefully revealed to her. I like that this drama makes you think very hard about people and in different perspectives, because not everything is black and white.
SYM is killing me😂 from the subs how does "everlasting longing" translate to white head same heart ❤"😂I…
Everlasting love, not longing haha. She translated each word almost literally, 白 = white (the color) and 首 = head/first (but together it means "white hair"), 同 = same/together and 心 = heart (and together it means "of one mind/united") so all four words together indicates "united together until old age", or the translator's choice "everlasting love".
Why is the screenwriter character on CGH’s side? He didn’t care about what SYM or NH went through in the drama…
He's still instigating Chu Guihong to go against Nan Heng. If he wants the rest of the script to happen as what he wrote in order to go back to the modern world, then he likely wants to trigger the scene in episode 36 where Chu Guihong storms the palace after the emperor dies and Nan Heng becomes emperor (reference: episode 5).
I can’t open the video. Wait so the father is alive??
Not sure. The body the scriptwriter is in looks exactly like King Qianyu, but the soul in it is the scriptwriter. The clip starts with him grabbing Song Xiaoyu and them recognizing each other as transmigrators through modern catchphrases. Then he tells her he's the scriptwriter, and complains about how they keep changing the script that he was struggling to even hand in the script to the director.
Can someone translate what he is saying in this clip https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLzpl2BxjEV/?igsh=MXdlY29tMTIwdXJidQ==
He basically tried to fulfill all the "wishes" she made during the Lantern Festival. He said, "Even though I don't know what a Pegasus looks like, I did my best to recreate one. You said you never want to work again, so if we're together, naturally you will not have to work. I'll give you the deed to Waning River Crescent. You can buy whatever you want, and do whatever you want. I will never let anyone bully you. Although you often say things I don't understand, no matter what, I want to protect you for the rest of our lives."
Why does SYM think that NH wants to kill SYT? Nothing in the original plot indicates that.
Impregnating is from the original script. I'm not sure which scene you were speaking of specifically, but her dialogue definitely never included her thinking that the ML wants kill SYT.

Whoa I was not expecting the scriptwriter to transmigrate into the script, too! And into CGH's dad's body no less.
