very well written plot given it's adapted from a webtoon (as in, i still have mixed feelings about how death/ fate transferring works; regardless, i can't be more satisfied with the way everything works out in the end - both villains died in place of our protagonists - with well-reasoned course of actions from all characters!) wraps up nicely. i feel sooo bad for reina about what she had to go through in her childhood. she's a tragic case. but at the same time, she's a lost cause. love how misa chose to fight for her own self without hesitation. romance was more on the mature side, super healthy relationship. i wish there was a bit more tension between them though lol. takeru satou can do so much with his eyes and face card, and i feel like he could shine in a much more steamy, tension-filled romance. wouldn't really watch it again cause the tone overall is a bit heavy (cant believe i actually like light-hearted stuff more as i get older lol), but this was a nice watch after a long break from asian dramas <3
The same thing happened in the KDrama. Like, the same character got the cheating husband and the cancer. I think…
thanks for letting me know! i didn't follow the kdrama version, so this helps explain how what happened happened. though again, i wish it was just a bit simpler, 'if you avoid it you avoid it' type of thing, not the 'you avoid it but someone will take your place instead'. i'm sure we'll get everything cleared up once we get to the finale, though.
the substitute rule is giving plot device vibes, especially, what do you mean misa's colleague friend has to get the fate of exact same situation: unfaithful husband, cancer; why that friend of all people? misa didn't do anything that could lead her colleague's husband to an affair did she? as we were getting to later eps, i was thinking maybe misa's overdoing some of her revenge plans (you would think she should have tried to stay in the low key as much as possible around dangerous people like tomoya and reina..) welp, i just want misa and wataru to be safe at this point.
reina's backstory was ultra traumatizing though. thats your villain origin story right there.
was intriguing until the latter half. it was the puzzles of the games and the mechanisms of how the dystopia came to be that kept my interest but i walked out of the show not truly getting what i expected.
to be more famous...? there lots of new group thesedays
it clearly appeared low-budget, the editing, the format, the missions, even though i love the boys i couldn't help but wanted to fast-forward every other second. variety shows, sure, but i expected something with more efforts.
sprinkled with good ol cliches and shoehorned plot devices for the sake of making characters grow, yet i was nicely…

sprinkled with good ol cliches and shoehorned plot devices for the sake of making characters grow, yet i was nicely entertained. be it the main actor's looks, or it's my romcom loving self, or it's the lovable characters, idk, it just all worked for me. would watch again!
watching edward lee/ lee kyun cook and explain his thought process was a lovely experience! triple star was also impressive, such a sharp thinker and neat cook
i haven't watched anything quite slow-paced like this movie, but the pacing is fine since it fits the tone and the plot; i could feel the yearning of two lovely, but lonely souls. actress's wardrobe was stunning, actor's eyes could talk.
ignoring all the hows (dad not giving a damn what white is doing, the infos and resources the gang managed to get to infiltrate tawi's properties/ factory) and a few small unnatural plot devices/ unnecessary plot points (the 'special connection' of the twins, white mistaking gram's feelings because eugene decided to abbreviate her name to G but not E, white hurting sean as he tried to hide his true identity - like i dont get it, there's no stakes in revealing his identity to sean and if there are, the stakes are even higher if white just remains silent), this drama delivered its story and messages very well. i'm not the type to care about politics in dramas that much but in this one i did! i did hope to see an ending where the bad are all taken down but that open ending left a very hopeful note, which is a lot better. on another note, i'm new to thai dramas and thai bl dramas in particular, so i'm still not used to how the romance is built up here. but i warmed up to sean/ white quickly towards the end. they match each other very well and my dry-ass heart bleeds every time they get lovey dovey with each other <3
wraps up nicely.
