I just finished watching Love in Hanyuan, which is set in the same time period and also revolves around No. 76 and espionage. I thought it was a great drama, so I’m really looking forward to this one too, especially since I also love Song Zuer. I’m not totally sure about the male lead yet though. I think I’m still comparing him to Yan Yi Kuan, who played such a suave spy infiltrating No. 76 in Love in Hanyuan. Either way, I’m excited for this one.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way about the ML. It really took me out of the drama it was just so unconvincing.

The vibe of this drama takes me back to 2016-2018 era of kdramas. Very nostalgic for me and I really missed this atmosphere.

I absolutely adored the first episode. I hope it keeps this momentum.

I've been enjoying this drama so much. I've been in a drama slump for a while but this is the only one I've been looking forward to lately. Usually, I am not a fan of slice of life type dramas, but this one just pulls you in with the wonderful storytelling and very complex dynamic characters/relationships. I definitely think you should pick this one up if you haven't already.

As someone who didn't watch season one and is now watching season two, I don't think you have to watch s1 to understand. You can fill in the blank spots yourself just by watching season two, and there is a short recap in episode one.
