this is just my opinion, but a lot of people nowadays prefer to watch short dramas for it’s fast paced storytelling, as it doesn’t drag. Also despite their “questionable” lines and plot, let’s be fr, people are still going to watch for the plot. I mean how else do people find certain plots “familiar,” it’s because they watched numerous ones themselves lol. this is not to say I am hoping that this drama looks like a short drama, but I’m not completely against the idea of the plot being structured similar to a short drama as well. It’s a drama after all, and tbh real life events are more dramatic than drama plots these days. As long as they don’t mess up the plot lol.

I actually prefer him in red flag characters for some reason lol…I mean if its a drama, bring in the drama 😂

can a S drama be promoted to S+ during post production? Cause despite this drama being a S drama, IQIYI and tencent are pushing this drama like it’s a S+ drama (as they should lol), as filming finished not that long ago and they are pushing material left and right with trailers and interviews. I mean I’m not complaining lol.

yea I believe in the iqiyi conference they said the plot is supposed to feel like a short drama, which I don’t mind cause I eat up short drama plots lol. however, I just hope the actual drama will not be shot like a short drama. they def need to get rid of that bright filter, perhaps a more natural yellow tone would be more suitable for a republican era drama.

same, I prefer wide shots as well. I believe he directed princess gambit as well and some shots were way too close and shaky lol. Fingers crossed we get more material after the wrap up 🤞

yea I think your right. Especially the wide shot at the beginning with the buildings, the lights by the water and the filter looked way too bright and you could see some modern buildings on the left behind the trees, but I have to keep in mind it's the directors cut so they haven't edited anything yet. Hopefully they just used the filters for this teaser and not for the official one. It ruins the vintage aesthetic for me.

I am assuming the shots in the teaser haven't been edited or touched on yet, as it is “sneak peak” teaser. I hope the post production team pulls through, cause the way some of the clips were shot was kinda giving short dramas and the wide shots of the buildings looked way too modern. But I am still excited lol

yeah, I saw their live and there seems to be scenes that haven't been seen which is reassuring. I just kinda wished that the weren't that many reuters, as it kinda ruins the surprise factor to it, but I'm sure it will still be enjoyable nonetheless.

I hope there are a lot more scenes of both of them in general, bc atp I feel like I have already watched the drama from all the candid vids 😂. When it actually airs it’s going to feel like a rerun lol.

Probably selfish of me to say but I was kinda hoping that filming would be extended so that they could get some more scenes in (especially indoor so we can’t see all of it lol) and avoid rushing the script in general, but I understand that the actors also need to rest as well.

I apologize if the ML fans are offended, but I honestly never really heard of him before or any of the roles he has done and if his fans are upset regarding his role in a female centric drama, it’s prob beneficial for both parties that he takes on a project that his fans are satisfied with and won’t try to sabotage. ZY is committed to this role and even got a ballet certificate. It’s obvious that this project is being treated as a high budget drama and honestly ZY doesn’t need these toxic fans to hinder this project. I think these toxic fans need to be humbled, cause idk where they got this confidence from that he deserves first billing in a female centric drama lol.

Also if he didnt even “bat an eye” at this drama like one of the comments have stated, and the fact that his fanclub stated that they will not support the data for this drama, then he should withdraw from the drama entirely, cuz nobody wants to see any actor half assing a drama and wasting everybody’s time for a paycheck. He can go somewhere else and do a drama that he is actually passionate about and would not have second thoughts on.

yea I don’t think han li sees her in that way. I was rooting for her tho lol, despite her not being the FL. Personally, I’m really not feeling the FL atm, idk if it's the character itself or the acting/portrayal of the character.

I think a lot of the cnetz feel the same as well.
