I just finished episode 3 and I thought it was really cool to see a prince in the Joseon dynasty being depicted as having gender dysphoria. The end of the episode where the queen made him feel loved and accepted was especially moving. BUT! Her acceptance of it didn't feel realistic at all considering the time period and society this story takes place in. They should have given her a backstory of having once known someone else with gender dysphoria, perhaps a brother or childhood friend, and shown us flashbacks in the episode to her having witnessed that person suffering and being mistreated due to it. It would then have made more sense for her to show her child so much care and understanding.
I dropped it soon after his personality changed completely after they got together, it didn't feel realistic at all. They were too cheesy and he became completely unlike the character I had gotten to know.
