yes, you said it so well!! it's almost like saying goodbye to your childhood/teenage years and entering the adult life. seyoung portrayed it SO beautifully :( <3 the loving smile and happiness for her past, but also the sadness that comes with the knowing that she can't go back. i feel that a certain part of deokim always longed for that life, even though she did find so many moments of happiness with san..
also the fact that the scene wasn't originally in the script, but the director decided to add it later on makes me appreciate her even more than i already did :') it's so important to have that scene there imo, i will never forget it. sorry for the long reply haha

wow so glad i stumbled upon your article as this is exactly what i've been thinking lately (mainly due to the red sleeve, as that made me feel so many feels haha)!! so thank you sm for writing this and putting the thoughts into words so eloquently, such a great article :) <3 it's always the yearning and longing for the other person that does it for me. not saying that it isn't present in modern drama, but it's so much more profound in historical ones where there are certain rules/laws/morals/etc to follow!
i can't get enough of their behind the scenes videos too haha. them being silly all the time and the director laughing at literally everything they do, i ADORE them all soso much <3 how propable it is that they will work together again in the future? a girl can dream i guess lol
