i might be mistaken or it could be just a mistranslation on my part, but kim go eun added on her instagram that she has spent the last few months as yumi so now she's saying thank you and goodbye. and also the second season was announced immediately at the beginning as they were filmed back to back, but we still don't know anything about third season. i really really adored and loved the first season so i truly hope i am wrong and they have other plans still :(

yess please do, it's a very slow drama but it is able to bring such comfort, i truly hope you'll love it if you decide to watch <3 and same, taylor is a queen i adore her! and i am still to this day convinced she wrote tis the damn season for this drama hahah

part of the reason why i love yumi's cells so much is because yumi is able to grow beyond the first two love interests, learn more about herself and finally, find someone who is just perfect for her. i truly hope they will follow the webtoon's ending and won't let her settle with either woong or babi. they are cute and i adore them both (for the most part lol) but i am so tired of unrealistic love triangle dramas, so i hope this one won't turn out to be just that. let yumi find her true love, she doesn't need to settle, and soonrok my beloved deserves to be featured in the drama too :(

agreed, characters' traits and actions should be judged equally. but unfortunately, gender roles are still a thing so they are not. also personally, i haven't really seen a female character described as cute or funny if she did some of the things that you have listed. i can perhaps name one example. but if you have more, i'd like to hear :)

i get where you are coming from! but also, the issues that you have pointed at the start are actions that should be judged harshly in any character, regardless of their gender. there are of course some exceptions, but generally i feel like characters that are women are judged more harshly than men. when male characters are ambitious, assertive, imperfect, mean, distant, cold, etc., they are not deemed unlikable, it's just how they are - female characters with those same traits are annoying, malicious, unkind, etc. this yumi/woong situation is a perfect example. i can also name a lot more examples, because unsurprisingly there's a lot lol

people always judge female characters more harshly than male characters :( both of them are imperfect, but in my opinion it doesn't make them unlikable or annoying, just human
