i am once again missing them so much. my beloveds they were so in love, it makes me cry

still unsure about my thoughts, but i genuinely think that the plot twist at the end of ep 2 is the cutest sweetest little thing ever!!! ahhh who needs sugar when sweet storylines like that exist :)

also yi city arc best arc, who agrees!! just a masterclass in storytelling and angst and pain. i love it, i could write essays

watched this a year ago and i still to this day think about my beloved yunmeng siblings :( <3 for me, they are the best part of the drama (and also the reason why i don't think this has a happy ending because no it doesn't, i am still hurting). nothing comes close to their story and bond and i will forever and ever long for a happier ending for them. i'd die for all three of them, my cuties my loves my beloveds :((

i still randomly burst into tears whenever i think of them, they broke my heart like nothing ever did but still, it's truly worth watching and i love this drama so much. so incredibly much!! my beloved girls and my silly little boys you will be missed :( <3

yes exactly, you get it :') honestly the amount of tweets/comments i have seen calling deokim annoying surprises even me. those people are usually angry at the fact that she kept rejecting him or that she never said she loved him, but i feel that all of those things make sense for her character and are thoroughly explained in the story. women back then had to hold on to what little autonomy they had, i don't get how this is annoying. deokim is perfect the way she is

i agree. i feel that all of this was inevitable though since king the land's popularity increased junho's popularity and more and more people wanted to see his older dramas, hence the reason why this perhaps attracted people who would not initially watch it. making parallels between the two dramas is okay with me (since that's how certain people enjoy consuming media) but mischaracterizing deokim and analyzing her through kdrama lenses is not a way to do it. how can people watch the whole thing and still call deokim annoying is what i'll never understand. i hate to sound gatekeepy or pretentious, but it just makes me very sad :(

ahhh, that's precisely what i was afraid of :( i've seen a couple of videos here and there of the leads and they looked so cute to me, that's why i wanted to watch it, but i was afraid that their screen time would be taken by unnecessary side stories. but anyway, thank you very much for your reply! i think i'll wait for the final reviews to see how high should my expectations be haha, but i'll definitely give it a try :)

the people on here who write that this has a happy ending have not considered that this drama has ripped out my heart, broke it into tiny little pieces and never returned it back. i will simply never recover

this perfectly describes my feelings too so thank you for this comment :') genuinely one of the best stories ever told. i am still so in love with all of it

please do watch it, it's soso worth it :) <3 the romance between the main leads is neither slow nor fast, i'd say it's just the right amount. but of course it does take its time before it can develop (for obvious reasons which you'll see). and ending is happy!
