Yes, this show does deserve a special episode. The leads suffered a lot in their journey. Without an actual happy ending, there is zero rewatch value of this show.

Yes agreed, I too have seen a fair share of dramas but Cheng Ruoyu is now my all time favorite character. In the vicious times of plotting and scheming, she alone was the purest being. Love her character so much. The actress did a spectacular job in the portrayal of Yu’er/ Cheng Ruo

I can see where u r coming from. Yang-din’s last bow analysis is genius. However, for me, Yu’er’s first serious expression, then her eyes widening till her smile touches the eyes….. to me means a happy ending. It seemed she got shocked for a second to see Qiyan and then the smile followed.
You are right, if Qiyan is alive, we do need a glimpse into a laidback and happy life of Yu’er and Qiyan.

These two were amazing in Dream of Changan. Can’t wait to watch them again. I hope this show gives them lots of romantic scenes and a happy ending.

I feel u. Cheng Ruo was indeed incredible. The character and the actress both were amazing. I have seen intense love before and I loved both the leads from it. I was very happy with this show till the last scene. I can’t live with a vague happy ending 😭😭😭 and hence rooting for South wind knows my mood ♥️🥰

Yes, the ending is fine but not showing it on screen isn’t cool. As far as the criticism is concerned, I think the plot showed a weak sword bearer as she was installed in the palace. It wasn’t her strength but her faith in Qiyan that made him fall for her. So I don’t get people’s criticism as she was clearly not supposed to be the best in her craft. So she should not have been a bigger framed person. Oh well the show has ended and all I wanted was an ending hug or a kiss. Is that too much to ask for 🥲😭

Rarely I see a show that hasn’t aired its last episode. Then based on the ending I make my decision. Qiyan and Yu’er were so good together that i couldn’t stay away. I don’t know may be it’s cultural, May b my speculation is wrong but many a times for Chinese period dramas, they don’t show a proper happy ending.

We know CRY flashes her million $ smile only for Qiyan but we as followers also need a visual closure ♥️

At this point, All I wanna say is…Mango tv please give us a special episode. We have been very faithful to Qiyan and Yu’er.

She is the reason I love this show. Every one else is about plotting, revenge and endless aims. Yu’er is the only loyal companion without hidden agendas. Love their chemistry. The marriage between the older sis. And Qiyan is a huge hit on my love struck heart.
