ep17. moved me so much the dance and after ..., such a beautiful scene when they were running. I watched that scene three times in a row, I was so emotional.
Could you please spoiler if the ML in the novel had romantic feelings for sister?
Phew, that’s great, it really relieves me because otherwise I would be really disappointed on several points. .. Can’t wait to read the novel all the way through! I don’t remember on which site I saw a comment implying that...
ep4: What an amazing episode! I laughed so much at that circus-like action scene — it was perfectly staged! Bravo to the director and the whole team! And the actors — I'm speechless! Bo Gum is brilliant, and he also lets others shine and brings out the best in them! Honestly, it was just top-notch!
Besides being cool and amazing this serie etc etc... In some moments, the cinematography feels more like a music video — for example, Imagine Dragons :) ... The music even dominates over the action scenes.
The soundtrack features motifs inspired by Imagine Dragons, BTS, and Ennio Morricone — for example, the famous Once Upon a Time in America theme, but reimagined on piano.... It’s a perfect blend that will deeply resonate with Bo Gum’s fans.
Good Boy” is a stylish, well-paced production — a true Korean-style blockbuster. The action scenes are well shot, everything looks dynamic and powerful. Definitely a high-level production.
And Park Bo-gum’s performance? 🔥💣🥇 He completely transforms into an action hero while keeping that refreshing vibe — smoothly switching between fight scenes, comedy, and romance. You know what’s new in action dramas like this? The hero doesn’t show off! And that’s seriously refreshing. His character feels very close to his real-life personality — but at the same time, totally opposite… That contrast makes the role feel alive and fascinating.
Kim So-hyun is also excellent — very convincing. Lee Sang-yi adds a great energy to the team. Overall, the cast is top-tier.
The music is beautiful too — tasteful, polished.
As for the plot, it develops slowly. But it seems like this isn’t a story driven by twists — it’s more about the characters and visual style. A drama that focuses on moments and personality rather than suspense.
Park Bo-gum often chooses projects with heart, even if they’re risky or he’s not the clear solo lead. Here, I feel like it’s something in between — a mix of commercial solo lead, multistar setup, and that arty touch he truly loves. I think his screen presence will definitely be strong.
Loving this series so much! Special mention to the male lead — he's absolutely stunning, both in terms of his looks and his performance. I'm just discovering this actor, and compared to the previous series , you can really see how skillfully he adapts his acting. The way he uses his eyes, his subtle smiles... it's all spot on — you can tell exactly what he’s trying to express. I actually much prefer this series. The other one had great costumes and an amazing ML too, but the FL and the director were a bit of a problem…
Here, the FL is funny and really complements the ML with her charm, her flaws, her strong personality — she’s a true aristocrat, feminine and kind. The supporting characters are great too. In short, we’re watching!
Now, regarding the speculations about the ending, as for me ..
I think that in order to become a dragon, the Imoogi has to sacrifice something—in this case, himself—to save everyone. He will begin to transform into a dragon thanks to the shaman, who will help him out of love.
But in the end, the dragon will choose to stay with the shaman and her family, living as a simple mortal without his powers. He will give up his ambition for absolute power and selfishness, and thanks to the magic tree, he will find the shaman again, inside Yoon Gab’s body, at the very end.
Yoon Gab’s soul will be saved and allowed to travel peacefully to the afterlife, and before that, he will have a heartfelt conversation with the shaman and the Imoogi.
As for the Imoogi’s brother, maybe he’ll stay… who knows, maybe for a possible season 2 dedicated to him, hehe!
It's a perfect drama. Our Imoogi plays incredibly well!! The characters are well developed—Imoogi is, in my opinion, one of the most endearing and fully realized characters in any K-drama. All the actors and actresses are charming, and the director is doing a great job! Right now, THIS is the drama I'm waiting for with so, so much excitement!! When a series without big ambitions reveals such talent!
I'm so fed up with these endless love triangles, where the second male lead is always this passive, kind servant-type, and the heroine treats him like some kind of saint! It feels like it's deliberately written this way just so that, 30 years into a marriage, during a fight, the woman can shout: 'Why did I even marry you, when I had a whole line of amazing men waiting for me?' It often feels like a character's worth is defined solely by how many people are in love with them — like it’s all just a tool for narcissistic validation. (As a female viewer, honestly, it’s kind of sad how often this happens.) As if being loved by several people automatically makes you valuable. Are there really no other ways to show a character’s worth than through being desired?
I find this series very dynamic and well-balanced, with a lot going on. I really like the director too (not to mention the cast !). Compared to the much-loved drama Alchemy of Souls S1, which I keep trying to watch all the way through—but honestly, the monotony and overly simplistic dialogues literally put me to sleep. (Please don’t throw tomatoes at me! lol here can't wait for next week!
I think it will happen like this: without realizing that it is through sacrifice that he becomes the dragon, he will sacrifice himself out of love for E-Ri, and at that moment, he will transform into the dragon. However, during this transformation, he will choose to remain in Yoon Gap’s body in order to enjoy simple human happiness (love, family, and other feelings), rather than becoming an all-powerful deity. Thus, thanks to love, he will find the path, but also thanks to love, he will renounce the desire for omnipotence. The soul of the real Yoon Gap will be saved, but he will not be able to return to his body, and he will accept that (perhaps there will be a spiritual encounter with E-Ri). Haha, don’t laugh, I rewrote the story..
perfect drama -Scenario, dynamism, the duo, and above all, I love the ML — he is perfecttt! The way his character is written and how he acts... let's go for the next episodes!
Dear all - I am convinced that if someone is a globally beloved superstar, it means they certainly have something more than an ordinary person. Whether it's talent, personality, charisma, originality, presence, perhaps all of these together which makes them a legend in that case, it becomes part of history. There will be few of these individuals, as society's phenomenon may last only a few years, especially with the added competition...
time often reveals the true value of a talent. While initial success can come quickly, it's over time that the lasting impact and significance of a person's talent truly become evident. Some talents might shine brightly but fade, while others grow and evolve, gaining recognition and admiration as they stand the test of time. Ultimately, enduring influence and longevity are often key indicators of genuine talent.
Over time, we can see who truly stays in our memories. These are the individuals whose impact goes beyond the moment—those whose work or presence continues to resonate, even years or decades later. It's not just about fame or recognition in the short term; it's about creating something that leaves a lasting impression, whether through their talent, their character, or the way they touched people’s lives. The true measure of significance is often how they remain relevant in our minds long after the world has moved on.
Episode 9 moves into the development/resolution in plot for Su Jeong's arc. We’ll see the evolution of her character—she finally admits that ML was right: [SPOILER] ****"You need to leave the past behind and learn to love again in the present."* The main character said this in the context of the song, but the meaning is the same. Episodes 10-11 resolve the story of Joo Yeon and her grandmother arc resolution, after which everything comes to an end... [SPOILER off] ****
Of course, in this case, the writer chooses the most classic script . this plot is obvious to anyone—Our Nostradamus spirit can take a break! 😆 But it’s still pleasant to watch.
I really liked the scene at 15:54—such a great nod to *Twinkling Watermelon* with the sign language...! Apart from clichés, this show combines so many elements from different dramas.
I watched that scene three times in a row, I was so emotional.
