I think you should've watched it as a comedy, it's definitely lacking as a thriller but it's not a thriller, I found even the elements that was supposed to be very tense quite funny, even when Cha Seung Won fell into the quicksand with his son I kept laughing at them, but as all comedic Korean movies, they end with a sad situation. I can't remember a Korean movie that started funny and had a funny ending, they always try hard to make you cry at the end of your laughter.

I think Seokjin is funnier than JaeSuk (He matches my sense of humor more) but don't worry, that's not their intention because even if JaeSuk left, Seokjin wouldn't be "in command". JongKook is ranked higher in terms of authority. I don't know what to call it but because there is no actual main MC (JaeSuk is a regular member just like the others), the ranking goes from leader of a team to regular team member, and JongKook had always been the leader of his team even when Seokjin is a member of it. They won't be replacing JaeSuk with a current member if he left, they would either cancel the show, replace all members and start a second season (this is most likely to happen), or replace him with another person with the same authority level, and that's definitely not Seokjin, JongKook has a better chance of being that person than Seokjin, Seokjin has the old funny always-bullied weakling character, and that character can't control the mic.

I think JongKook and Jihyo supposedly liked each other even when Haha was with JiHyo, In the birthday party scene before Haha got arrested, when Haha was there, you can tell from JongKook's expressions that he was longing for Jihyo, and when Haha left to do something, there was tension between JongKook and Jihyo, so I thought the story was that they were in love with each other but couldn't be together because of Haha, that's why Haha's arrest didn't affect Jihyo negatively.

I don't know either, some people just market their opinions as facts. If they like something it's underrated, if they don't, it's overrated. It's just a personal opinion phrased as a general statement.

The music video in the 14th episode all made sense except for the scenes where Sechan is mad whenever Jihyo and JongKook are together. I thought he orchestrated all this for them to be together. There was no reason for him to be mad except for maybe if he had feelings for Jihyo which wasn't indicated. He was apparently sad when JongKook got arrested. If they were going for that reason, Sechan should've been smiling when Jihyo held him, that way would've been clearer to the viewers. Anyway, I'm impressed by the fact that they came up with these scenes on spot, the scenes were all cliched but they started with scenes that didn't make any sense and figured a way to use them and make them into a story which is quite impressive.

It's weird that they didn't wrap a piece of clothing around their friend's thigh when he was injured during the explosion. It seems like the guys act like knights when a damsel in distress but ignore it if a boy is. They even yelled at him to just stay still when he was in pain.

A show is overhyped when it's "a massive hit with a cult like following". They just mean it doesn't deserve its "hype". I like this show but I've seen better. I think that all shows on Netflix are somewhat overhyped, people are just too lazy to look elsewhere for a masterpiece, so they "overlike" what is in front of them. Most of their dramas gain recognition and cult-like followers mostly because they are easily accessible.

Her saying "I'm not sure" isn't a proof that the idol is innocent. Her claim could still be either true or false, so we shouldn't pick sides. If that can be considered a solid proof that the actress has lied, then someone else would consider the agency dropping the idol as a proof that she hasn't, and you wouldn't be able to argue otherwise. They both aren't solid evidence, you still has no clue if she lied or not, and you would be as bad as the actress if you wrote a hate comment when you are "not sure" that she lied. You would be basically doing the same thing you are hating on her for.

I might be biased because I'm a fan of Kim Jong Kook, but I always get irritated when they don't acknowledge his good looks. I'm especially annoyed at Seo Jang Hoon who doesn't miss any chance to rank members by their looks and he always makes it clear that Jong Kook isn't handsome even though millions of people would disagree with his "statements", and I'm saying statements even though looks is subjective because Seo Jang Hoon always states his rankings and opinion on JongKook's looks as facts. What irritates me more is that his only reason for why he thinks JongKook isn't handsome is because of "his small eyes" or maybe even his "darker skin tone" which I think are his biggest charms. He follows the Korean standard of beauty literally which I find ridiculous. JongKook has very nice and sharp features, do small eyes and darker skin suddenly makes someone ugly? I've never seen a non-Korean person call JongKook ugly, most people think he is quite handsome and looks very young for his age. I think they shouldn't rank people based on their looks at all, it's not funny or interesting, but if they for some reason had to, they shouldn't consider things like the size of someone's eyes or their skin tone as flaws since at least most people wouldn't consider them as such, nor should they make it seem like a given that someone is ugly, they should indicate that this is their personal opinion, not a fact that everyone should agree with. I think for some reason that Seo Jang Hoon thinks he is at the same level of handsomeness as JongKook because he also "has small eyes" and has "darker skin tone", but it's really not true. I really didn't want to sink low and point that he isn't "as handsome", but I'm really annoyed at his entitlement that I can't help but do so. They should really learn at some point that looks is subjective and they should really stop expressing their opinion on how other people look, especially to Im Won Hee who expressed firmly that he doesn't like to be called ugly (who does?). On another note, I like how humble JongKook is, he never disagrees with anyone's "assessment" of his look, no matter how absurd it is, and I felt proud of his humble response when he said "there must be people who think I'm ugly" when Heechul asked him if he was ever told he was ugly, even though I think there are hardly any people who think he is. I also admire that he was the only one who told Im Won Hee that he isn't ugly even when the mood called for an insult to his looks, and he told them that they shouldn't tell someone they are ugly even if they thought they are. It's hard to say something like this on a variety show without the risk of being a buzzkill. I love that he didn't care as long as he told them it's not cool. I can tell he really hated the segment about the division of teams based on looks, he was really quiet the whole time, unlike his usual self.

It's been over a year and I still haven't finished this season. It's by far the most boring season. The only interesting round is the lipsync round, the other ones are snoozefests.

She is the youngest along with Se Chan but she got that title exclusively when she lost the game in the previous episode. Se Chan and So Min are of the same age, so they were both doing the tasks the youngest was supposed to do. To avoid confusion, the production team made them compete in missions and the loser got the youngest title. Once you are an adult the few months difference doesn't mean anything, you are treated the same as those who are born in the same year.

The ending of episode 6 is stupid. SuYeol could've kept the evidence, apprehended the team leader and still managed to save Hee Kyum in time, but they really wanted to stall for extra episodes. Also, the reaction of the other cop who gave him the evidence doesn't make sense, SuYeol had the upper hand at the time, and they could've actually worked together to put the team leader in jail. Why bother betray the team leader if you are not going to go through with it? Now no side will trust him anymore, he just ruined his chance of being on the only side that was going to accept him after this altercation, and freed the man who was going to kill him. It's really annoying.

If that's the case then every drama where a character imagines a scene, like when they plan to do something with another character, and you can see the other character they are imagining should be categorized as fantasy.

Ryu SuYeol is the "body owner", people can only see him. He appears on pictures taken by other people (the ones he retrieved from the safe and the video footage of him jumping on the car). 'K' is an alter. You (as a TV viewer) and Ryu SuYeol are the only ones who are aware of him (his different body is just to make it easier for people to differentiate between him and Ryu SuYeol). You can notice that others don't usually notice when Ryu SuYeol is talking to K, that is because most of their conversations are inside Ryu SuYeol's head. Only sometimes can people notice that he is talking to himself, and that is when the alters talk to each other out loud which is possible for someone with a dissociative personality disorder.

Yeah, I thought this was the reason they mistook it for a fantasy but I had to make sure. People see all sort of things in their mind, we can't call that a fantasy.

Why is this categorized as fantasy? I'm on the 5th episode and still haven't seen something that could be called fantasy. Will there be fantasy in the later episodes?

I just started this and I find the plot embarrassing to tell to other friends. Male/Female twins who are very identical to the point where they have the exact same mole? And when Dami assumed the identity of her brother, it was really weird that they gave the actress a feminine haircut and hairstyling, they even made it seem like it's a thing that females and males have different type of hair and that people would recognize their sex based solely on their hair? That's not a thing!

The English version came out about 24 hours after the release date (this Wednesday).

The 8th episode is my favorite so far. I wish they could do an after-show of Running Man where they talk like this about their point of view when they were filming the episode, and share behind stories of the filming and unaired clips after each episode. It would be fun to watch that.
