Selling the rights to a streaming service as a last resort might be a good idea too, if Korea is that much against it. International audience and even Korean *flix streamers don't care about a celeb's past since they are basically getting it with the package. They were ok with TOP appearing on Squid Game. Lee Jung Jae didn't have a clean past either. And they are planning to release a drama starring Cha Eun Woo soon.
What a bummer. They showed Squid Game 2 with all types of shady actors in it and avoided talking about them, but…
I actually watched the first season because of Jo Jin Woong. I liked his movies and his acting. I don't mind him being replaced if that would be less damaging for the production team, I just don't think it's fair that all the effort that was put into it would go to dust just because of a mistake done by a minor who fixed his life and had no issues thereafter.
Han Sun Hwa was the scene stealer for me. Great acting and chemistry, but throughout the story, the jokes didn’t…
Han Sun Hwa was great from the moment she debuted as an actress, she didn't even need time to settle. Not many idol-turned-actors show talent from their first project, Not sure why she is not getting a lot of main roles. I hope this one pushes her towards getting more significant roles.
I waited for English subs for years to complete this one, but it never arrived. Now I just want to find it raw since I can understand Korean, but even that disappeared. This was such a hilarious show. I regret missing it while waiting for the subs.
Adding a picture of her with her late-boyfriend Kim Joo Hyuk to the end of the article without context is cruel. She already got married to another person and hopefully moved on with her life. Such a heartwarming and joyous news ruined by insensitivity.
"suddenly walked super slowly when time mattered" do you really think that wouldn’t have been corrected…
I called out the director in my first paragraph. The second was dedicated to my complaints about Shin Sae Kyung's acting + her character. You are generalizing, "women are harsher on each other". No, I'm personally more lenient toward women, you can even tell by my first paragraph in which I put the blame of the female victims acting this way on how it was done, not how they are doing it, but you won't believe me since you are fixated on the idea that "all those who criticize a woman are haters". Not this time, because obviously to me, the actress did contribute to the scene being bad, because she is the one who was maintaining a pretty dull expression while walking slowly so she drew much attention to it and made it more unrealistic. Like I can put the full blame on the director, but he is trying to make a drama. I can understand slowly walking as an implication that this girl just gave up on all hope, but you can't walk like you are in a commercial for a shampoo. I thought her performance is bad, and I know the difference between bad directing, script, character and performance. I respect your opinion about her, but just because you liked her performance doesn't mean everyone who didn't couldn't tell the difference.
I didn't state my opinion as a fact. Saying someone can't act or is a bad actor is obviously an opinion just like saying someone is pretty. It's implied. I can't state in every opinion I share that it's an opinion.
I couldn't disagree more about Shin Sae Kyeong. I realize she has a whole legion of haters here on MDL (while…
I don't know how to describe it, but sometimes an actor gives the vibe that someone is looking at them while they are acting which puts me off. You can notice that clearly in the final scene where she was hugging people goodbye. It wasn't natural. She also seemed to maintain a pretty expression throughout, no matter what the circumstances were, which was distracting and quite unrealistic. I don't really remember her previous work so I can't compare to see how much she has improved. I just found this one noticeable, maybe because it's combined with the badly directed ending.

Hi. I'm not sure how you connected the two. Her not being able to act has got nothing to do with her "irritating reactions" as I put it. These are two separate complaints. She really doesn't act well, at least in my opinion. I can't describe to you how an actor is bad the same way you can't describe to me how an actor is good, so I didn't elaborate on that, if you didn't notice it then good for you, and I hope you enjoyed the movie, but for me, if I notice she is acting then she is bad at it. Why would I have personal opinion on her? I don't know her. I see bad acting, I point it out. You appear to have only clung on the part where you thought it wasn't her fault and ignored the rest to dismiss my opinion and make it seem like I'm just a hater.
It started well, but the ending was laughable. Why did they have to make all the victims stupid? I don't mean their response to trauma, but they literally walk freely in open fire when they are all unarmed and useless, even the "main victim". I find it quite offensive.
Shin Sae Kyeong can't act to save her life. It's like she is actively trying to look pretty doing whatever she is doing. Jung Eugene was a better actress. The most irritating scenes were whenever she reacts to something. To him getting closer to the action, to him breaking the car window, and when she was all screaming and jumping in open fire, but suddenly walked super slowly when time mattered.
Comedy was 10/10 until the last 5 episodes or so. It became too repetitive that it took me too long to finish it. Too bad because it started very well. The female lead and the second male lead were unlikable. I thought the male lead deserved so much better, but she suddenly "changedd" in the last few episodes which is something I wouldn't trust.
Some people are given more time though. I genuinely think it's based on racism of foreign actors/productions and…
They didn't win for the movie. They won for a song. The time is distributed based on category, not based on how popular the "streaming" movie that the song was in. They don't get points for the popularity of the movie since the song is the one that is getting awarded.
