For your first point, the kid can be insulted by both. Even if you knew your dad didn't love your mother, you would be insulted that he moved on that fast from their marriage, regardless of who he is moving on with. Kids recognize the meaning of marriage and know that it's disrespectful to move on that fast from a marriage. It's also not a good look for her dad to marry this fast, whether he married a maid or not, she would be embarrassed either way, because it's like an announcement that her mother didn't mean anything to him or that her father couldn't wait to find another one. The scene where they introduced the baby to them explains her reasoning, she literally says that it's only been one year since her mother died. If that's not the issue, she wouldn't have mentioned it.

For the second point, the reason why the twins are fighting against each other is their father. He kept pitting them against each other even as adults with the last time being his announcement in the first episode. Even the youngest daughter felt the pressure of getting the company so that's not the difference between them. She was planning to come back and take it from the twins to prove something to her father before meeting him as the soccer player. Also, none of the twins was sold off to a political marriage. The guy married someone he loved despite his father not trusting her, and the woman married a "mere" doctor, not a chaebol.

I was mostly confused because he is listed as a main character. Meanwhile, he is more like a fly on the wall. HAHA

so it was a pointless character. Oh, well.

Flashbacks didn't tell you what was the reason for the last time he had done this. The female lead said that it's never this long without contact, so I thought this time it might've been a different reason. It's like a crying wolf thing. I don't want her to forgive him, and even if he had a really good reason for the last time, he doesn't deserve a second chance, but I'm saying that this is the typical path for a drama, so that there would be some tension, otherwise his existence is just boring/aimless.

Anyone recommends reading the webtoon simultaneously? Like reading only the parts that are out in the drama to catch any differences. I haven't done this before. I usually read either before or after watching the drama, but mostly before.

My guess is a previous bad character that they hated, and couldn't differentiate between the actress and the character, or because she looks different than the female leads they are used to in other dramas.

I haven't read the webtoon, but my guess is that he had a really good reason for going away, like a sickness or something. Because in order for him to be a plot device, he has to have good qualities, otherwise no one is going to see him as a threat to the male lead. He would be just a parasite roaming around the female lead. She must have a reason to go back to him to have drama. Note: Please don't spoil it for me if I'm not correct in my guess. I'll get there on my own. ^^"

The hypocrisy in your sentence is laughable. Did she say someone forced her to look this way? or did you assume because her body didn't match your body or your preferred body shape? If you had bothered watch some of her interviews before you talk, you would've realized that it's probably because she sleeps a lot. Nothing wrong with that. Just accept that different people have different bodies. You even faulted her skin color, as if she can dramatically change her skin color to please "the film industry".

The CGI is bad but the story and the characters are entertaining. The romance is kind of mature, so it advances too quickly for a Korean drama. If you are not into that, you might not like it.

The end of the first episode was kind of creepy though. A guy inviting a woman he just met at work for drinks in an isolated bar run by his "unexpected male friend" after he got fired, then leaving her alone with the friend who got her drunk to the point where she passed out is too scary. If that happens to you in real life, run. This only ends well in dramas.

He wasn't a great dad to any of his children. It's like he was intentionally pitting them against each other. All of them, including his youngest daughter, were trying so hard to prove something to him as adults. That's not good parenting.

Just so you realize it. It's actually about 2 months after her death. That's when the baby was conceived, and they probably started dating earlier. The baby was born one year after the first wife's death. It wasn't like he started dating one year or a few months after. Maybe his relationship with his first wife was loveless which explains how fast he moved on, but I get why the kid is angry. It can look quite disrespectful to her mother, and it's hard to understand for a child who believed their parents had a good relationship. Not that it's an excuse to turn evil.

Also, the only "decent" child is the one who grew up away from him. That says a lot.

I feel bad for Kang Jae Seong. He was just a coward who was trying to make his father proud, and he is now alone and left betrayed by everyone, including his wife and twin sister. I don't wish a bad ending for him, I wish it for his twin sister because she is the source of all evil, and his wife because she is trying to take what's not hers by eliminating her own family.

To be fair, all of the male leads are at least somewhat attractive to someone who is over 30. Ma Gong Bok might be the least attractive to that age group (mostly because of how uncool his character is), but I agree that it's ridiculous to rate something only based on how attractive the cast are.

I love that all of them became entangled in some kind of relationship they care about. Even Bulgae cares about his nephew. Everyone of them has someone they want to protect. I hope that Bulgae would prove to us in the next episode that he still cares about his nephew more than any personal gain, even after he got his memory back.

Really? I thought they were weird. It was like they were just pumping into each other.

They broke up multiple times throughout the drama, so it wasn't necessary for them to break up one more time at the end of it..
