I definitely recommend starting with PoB first. This is more satire, and I think you'd appreciate the story in PoB more. I'm only on episode 5 of this one and I'm honestly having trouble taking this drama seriously.

it's actually not her, it's her agency. they have that clause to preserve her innocent and good-girl image.

omg yes, a dead fish is exactly how I'd describe it! i tried to ignore it at first because the drama is good but it's really bothering me lol

i'm watching Seven Relics right now and bruh, why does she just have this entirely blank, staring expression all the time. like her eyes look completely dead and expressionless. is this how she acts in all of her dramas? i'm just curious because this is the first drama i've seen where she's the FL and so far, the supporting characters are carrying the show.

you took the words right out of my mouth. even though this is the first drama i've seen of her's, i feel like her expression has been the same in all the scenes (i'm only on episode 3) and her face is so expressionless and looks like a deer in headlights at all times. the lack of emotions is just so confusing and is throwing off the storyline for me.

I ended up dropping it...I just couldn't get into it and was so bored. Not sure if it was the editing for me or the story maybe...I found myself rolling my eyes too many times to continue.

I ended up dropping this. Just couldn't get into it...I think they also didn't cast the best person to dub the FL...I cringe every time she said "Dudu" and she said it way too often. I just can't imagine a feared general acting like that.

alright, you convinced me. i'll keep going until eps 13 and decide. i usually love slow burn romances and i really hope i can start getting used to the FL's character...I'm just so confused how she can be so cutesy and immature in some scenes when she's supposed to have climbed her way to being a general.

i can't read chinese, do i likely won't read the novel, but thank you for your response. i might put this drama on hold for now and revisit later.

totally agree. while i like the actress (i loved her in Back from the Brink), but so far, i can say she was definitely a miscast in this role. she doesn't make a believable general and i'm confused why they made her character so spoiled and too cutesy.

i was so excited to start this but i think i might be one of the few to drop it. i think it's mostly due to a miscast because zhou ye just doesn't make a believable general. i really liked her in Back from the Brink (one of my favorite dramas) but can't stand her character here.

i'm on episode 6 and having such a hard time continuing this drama. maybe my expectations were too high? but i was expecting a female lead that would make a more believable general. i like zhou ye from her previous roles, but her being cutesy and whiney so far is anything BUT a general. i was most excited to see cheng lei after his role blew me away in My Journey to You, but his lack of expressions is making it really hard for me to continue, as I can't get a grasp of his character. the story is also boring so far. i came here after finishing The Prisoner of Beauty and Coroner's Diary, so I feel like I've been spoiled. can someone tell me if this drama gets better and should i stick with it??
