Yeah that part was super cute, but I wish it had come up during a conversation rather than Mizuki framing it as a another demand. Idk, I still really enjoyed the whole show, I just wished they had one REAL conversation where nobody was tied up or angry 😅 But hey, they’ll get there eventually

Maybe it’s just me but it barely feels 1% resolved 🥲 Like the whole confession scene! Mizuki reading the confession scene from the manga outloud, Yoh not understanding that was intended as an actual confession (I don’t blame him this time, I wouldn’t either!!), and then Mizuki got mad and left the room instead of talking about it. I still love the series so much (rated it 9.5) but I just want to grab them both by the shoulders and shake them until they manage to have a conversation without misunderstanding each other. Which, HOPEFULLY, would happen in season 2.. If they make one.. 👀

Part of me wants to be a little upset that things didn’t really get resolved… But the rest of me is too busy hoping that was intentional so the story still has somewhere to go for a 2nd season 👀

The trailer popped up on my feed so I ended up watching it again and now I’m all excited! 😍 Barcode has such a sweet warm face, perfect with the bakery vibes. And Jeff is just otherworldly, such strong charisma. So ready to see them in their own series!! Is the release date confirmed as 31st Oct or is that just a filler date?

Also never watched an episode of Only Friends and I’m still on here pretty much every week discussing how I find this series to be disappointing so far. Because this is a discussion board. There’s no “fandom drama” going on, there’s no weird agenda against the series, people are just disappointed and allowed to talk about it, in the same way that you’re allowed to talk about enjoying it. Nobody is wrong for having an opinion, positive or not. If you’re uncomfortable with seeing negative comments, maybe head to the youtube comment section instead? They tend to be a lot kinder over there, so you might find it less upsetting. Either way, I hope you keep enjoying the show!

I totally get where you’re coming from, but I don’t see it as being presented as a healthy love… Both main characters are visibly unhappy and it directly stems from not understanding how the other is feeling. The whole story is leading towards the fact that they’ll only be happy together if they learn to communicate better and really try to understand each other, otherwise things between them won’t work out. Literally the whole plot is about their love being unhealthy, and watching them fumble about with their feelings until they manage to fix it. If they were perfect and good from day 1 there wouldn’t be any reason for the story to exist…

It IS ridiculous - Dangerous Romance, no danger, no romance 🫠 I’ve seen people say the danger part is coming soon, but from what I’ve gathered/guessed it doesn’t actually directly involve Sailom or Kang… I hope that isn’t the case. This would be a tough sell if the other main promise of the story is just happening AROUND the main characters, instead of happening to them or because of them 🥲

Exactly!! The episodes are short but not a second is wasted, they don’t need to show us what we’ve already seen, the writers know that we remember all that and can keep up. Full steam ahead, the pace never drags so the story is consistently satisfying 😙👌 There are some dramas I wouldn’t be able to get through without the skip button, but for this one it might as well not exist!

I think I might have been too harsh on Chimon, after this episode I’m realising that at LEAST half the blame for the lukewarm bromance vibe can be blamed directly on the script… I get that they’re teenagers, and that they feel awkward, and that it’s not meant to be perfect or sexy or whatever. Totally fine with that. But it still doesn’t explain why Sailom has had a crush on Kangham for MONTHS(?) and would still have to be negged into ALLOWING Kanghan to hug him… Other dramas have accomplished the awkward teen first love thing that in a way that didn’t make me feel like bashing my head into a wall. It’s not an excuse for things to feel this off. I’m glad some people are enjoying this, because if it tanked Perth would be even more hesitant to continue with BLs, but I still don’t understand what you’re seeing that I’m not, and I promise I AM trying to see it (that’s why I’m still here)!! Would the novel change my mind, is it worth it?

My GOD how does this just keep getting better each episode?! Higuchi Kouhei has the dreamiest voice, I could watch 10000 episodes with Mizuki’s narration. Usually I get sick of flashback scenes because they feel like they drag the pace of the story down, but it’s done so well in this! Each scene in the college flashbacks is concise and intentional, and helps us unravel the complexities of the characters a little more every time. And that kiss in the rain - PURE BUTTERFLIES!! Watching every new episode feels like such an indulgence, I’m just sad they’re so short and that there’s only one left, but I 100% trust the finale is going to be worth it 🥲💖
