I agree with you here. Never hated them when they attacked Ruyi. It’s a normal reaction for a soldier specially QZ who’s observant and dedicated to his job.. I love also that they confronted NYZ and not believing his words coz they know how NYZ was already close to Ruyi.. great writing indeed.

I love NYZ because his witty, intelligent and that smirk.. I’m still rewatching and laughing when he ignored Ruyi for the first time..

Yeahh… I caught that too.. I’m pretty sure he got some job that was related to scarlet guard. Even how he responded to ruyi while they are on a date was suspicious. He didn’t meet her eyes and there are lots of hesitations when he answer about being a male lover.

I wonder if Lord Dan Yang will be more suitable to be an emperor.. He doesn’t easily control by others and despite of what he did to the diplomatic team, he just wants to not rescue the emperor. Or maybe he will be bound to be a tyrant leader.

The problem is he was demoted as military chef so most likely he was at the back of the military formation. But maybe since he was famous they respect him at somehow lead a squad there..
