Autumn Moon recommended My Treasure and I enjoyed it very much. Haven’t watched A Dream of Splendor yet.
Highly recommended. It has the same feels like this one. Both leads were amazing… ML and FL were badass in their own way. My favorite drama last year. My first drama that set my standard how healthy relationship must be.
We can see the difference in the organization of Ning and Ruyi, a spy and assassin. Ning is the boss that you really wanted to work with. Strict but caring for his comrades, very resourceful and a kind of leader that you will not hesitate to follow. Thankfully, Ruyi got Meniang because she was really helpful and loyal.
In terms of the 2 nation, we somewhat know how the 2 Emperors handle their Nation. The Wu Emperor became so paranoid with Prince Dan Yang and he treated them as just subject. I love how our ML describe him and I just want to see some flashback about how Ning server the Emperor.
And the relationship between Ning and Ruyi was an eye candy to watch. Truly, we are the third wheel in their relationship. I was giggling , laughing and thought to myself: Ahhhh.. That is how relationship must be.
The writer also wrote The Dream of Splendor and My Treasure which I really love, and I clearly see her pattern, writing FL as a strong, independent woman and the ML supporting them but they not threated them as Damsel in Distress, they help them to be tough in their own way.
Overall great great drama. Whatever happens, I will give this at least 9.0 no matter what the ending is coz this gives me a good feeling.
