Experience. WooJae actor has 7 drama credits including a main role in Life On Mars. Da Bin is doing dramas since…
makes sense. minhyun actually did well for a rookie/debut main role but since he's around actual experienced actors, his shortcomings are so much more apparent. especially with noh jong hyun. woo jae and eun taek were given almost the same amount of lines but jong hyun was able to act with his expressions better so the amount of lines weren't very significant in his case.
anyway, while we're waiting for subs, stream the official ost "Everytime" by WayV
yes please do stream it. and if you haven't watched eps 23-28, the ost will finally be played on eps 24 and 26. ^^ the song is apparently for the teams CK and FNC. meanwhile the main team ZGDX's song is "Will Be Your Heroes" and the team with Hierophant and Ai Jia (YQCB) has "Warrior" dedicated to them.
Ok but the airing legit shows the entire week? So why not Friday Saturday and Sunday?
it's one episode a day for the non-vips and 2 ep per day during mon-thur for those who paid (vips), also the eps 23-28 airing earlier than planned is a bonus for the vips because of the high demand, this would in theory be one reason for non-vips to buy the subscription. but all this can't be felt because people always find ways to break rules, as in those with vip rips the episodes and reupload them on other streaming sites (thanks lots to them since im one of those who watch ripped episodes)
For me Xu Kai carries this drama. They wrote the FL to be a total blockhead. She's written as both an "innocent…
the character in the novel is written to be 19. and trust me, the FL in the novel is so much more immature. but the novel took time to show her growth and her growth was really amazing. the drama adaptation falls short in this aspect. from the episodes until 19-ish, it had good pacing, not missing or rushing the important parts. however, starting from when they met xu tai lun, everything was rushed, and some details were changed to accommodate the speed they're going. if you like the plot, i recommend reading the novel instead.
about cheng xiao's acting, i also have some opinion. and this is unbiased since it's the first time i've encountered everyone here, except the actor who played ai jia's mom lol. cheng xiao lacks eye acting. she can do facials well maybe because idols act in their music videos at least: her eyebrows, albeit mostly hidden by her bangs, dances as she talks and that complements her dialogue. she can also do gestures that are suitable for the character she's playing. the dubbing (vocalization) also really helped a lot. AND she can cry and make it believable (yes the first cry was lackluster but i was able to feel actual emotion during the later ones they're pretty good you can look forward to those scenes). these qualities are advantageous for scenes where she had to argue, fight, silly fight, and above all, scenes where she has less lines. and this is the case for the episodes before tong yao and lu sicheng became an official couple.
after TY and LSC became official, the focus went more to the two them and the hardships they had to deal with after going public. they had more conversations together, conversations that are long with lines that are heavier and more serious. the camera had to stay focused on cheng xiao's face with fewer cuts and even when she's not talking, the camera still had to cut to her to show that she's listening. but even in scenes like these, cheng xiao's eyes still don't change (yes her eyebrows do move). her eyes when she's supposed to be worried for their future is the same when she still looked at lu yue as a competitor, although a little softer. she looks at the hate comments on the screen the same way she looks at the screen during a match. and even after they became official, she still looks at lu sicheng as the captain, not her lover. and it doesn't help that her pupils are really big and round because her shortcoming become a lot more noticeable. her lines and emotions doesn't reach her eyes. she IS becoming better though.
so in summary, cheng xiao as an actress still has to learn to act more variety of emotions, especially love if she were to play a character with a love interest. if you're looking for more in depth direction for the plot AND the characters, read the novel instead. if you're watching for xu kai and really can't stand tong yao's character and chengxiao's acting, better to watch another drama of xu kai instead.
they didnt have to but they also didnt have a choice. afaik saeron's company rejected the drama
it has something to do with seniority. rumor has it that saeron was sort of disrespected (based on how koreans view how juniors should behave towards seniors) or something like that. and since saeron started acting since she was 9 or 10 years old (and even received best actress award from her movie in 2010), she's the most senior among the cast and if she was disrespected, the company had all the right to reject the production
i dont think the co-actors were the ones involved though, if that's the case, then the other actor who "disrespected" her should be the one removed from the show but all the previous cast stayed so it must be the production team that did it to her
again, this is all just some rumors i think there's no concrete evidence
does anyone understand whats happening in ep 26 preview? im still learning chinese and barely understand it so…
if youve also watched the preview for ep 25, in the novel, Tong Yao went to Lu Si Cheng to consult since Old Cat and Old K were having a 'cold war' of some sort which resulted to them losing a match. Lu Si Cheng wanted to threaten them to getting substituted by someone else, but Tong Yao insisted to make him go the 'caring' route. it was different to how LSC always disciplined the team but he followed her anyway, and then more stuff happened which is hard to type all at once, but it lead to LSC having to apologize to the team, the fandom found out about it and they all blamed Tong Yao for being cocky and bossy just because she's the gf of the captain, saying she's changing how things have been. TY received a lot of hate on the internet, even in her private mails. Still, all the teams they went against in the past stood up for her in their own livestreams, as you can see in ep 26 preview
