You should probably watch something else if you think “Nothing has happened btw main leads” perhaps you need…
Yes that user insulted her with passive aggressive reply, and also instuated that dramas like King The Land and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim are shallow and stupid.

Seriously, can we stop this shitty responses? Can't you just say, this drama is slice of life and focuses more on showing healing stories of every characters so of course there's no big plot going on.

It was about the growth of bla bla. If you feel like nothing has happened yet, though personally I'm in love with this show, maybe this is not your cup of tea.

True. He has not deserved her for sure. It was all about him seeing her thin and frail, but with another man.…
This is how comments should be. Educating and empathetic. I understood he was hurt and I'd agree on your analysis, however, I was still hurt by what he did. Personally, I'm the type of person who tries to reach out to my friends and somehow felt on the sidelines overtime, though of course I understand that we just all have burderns to carry. So I'm truly thankful to the friends who actually try to give time to me. However on Seung-hyo's case, I think the writer went way down too much. Seung-ho was not just distancing himself but cutting Seok-ryu on his life, and I'm afraid this would no longer be discussed on next episodes. Though, of course I hope to be wrong. The end of the episodes give light on Seung-hyo's growth tho, admitting he was petty, immature and impatient.

Title Love Next Door Spoiler
Episodes 9 and 10 are not bad, actually they're written with more nuance. I can nitpick other parts that I think was too convenient or poor character choices, but overall not bad. Special props is for the way Seok-ryu and her ex was written. As for ML character, I need better character development in the upcoming episodes.

And people pls, as long as it ain't nothing but a hate comment — can you allow people to feel things? It's absolutely okay not to like ML's recent episode behaviors with FL. I understood why he did that to FL in the past, but that was still not good in my books to do to a BEST FRIEND who was always there for you all through out your life, and I feel the resolution is lacking — BUT I'll wait for more.

I'm not mad with the beach scene because Seok-ryu needs that release and it was nice. But I wanted more, and I wanted sincere conversation between the two of them something I haven't seen yet and maybe a proper apology from Seung-ho.

Lmao, someone on Instagram commented people need to let go of the Ryu Sunjae fantasy under a post dragging Seung…
Why do you need to degrade another drama and character to prove your point? I haven't read other comments, but viewers are allowed to be frustrated if the characters are doing bad choices. Viewers are allowed to feel sad, and disappointed because those are all part of the viewing experiences.

Now, when the characters choose bad or ill choices – do you know what the writer does next? The writer gives character growth and redemption to the characters or should give. Now after watching the whole episode, I'd agree that the male lead had some sort of growth by the end of the episode but in order to be the better partner he aspires himself for the FL, he needs more growth and fix his own issues too.

Now, personally I'm not satisfied with how the growth of Seung-ho so far and realistically, if a best friend never once replied or accepted my call in the duration of three years I was trying to reach out regardless of what state I was in, that only means you are cutting me from your life. That was the signal that Seung-ho was sending and people need to understand that the writer should not downplay this. I'm not sure why the writer despite writing it that way, keeps on making Seung-ho dumps his anger on Seok-ryu like why she didn't tell him. I don't know, that was a bad choice of words. It keeps a bad taste of course in viewers' mouths.

The problem lies with the character of Seung-ho trying to assert himself as the better one for Seok-ryu, like one that knows her better and feels very much entitled to her secrets but was not a good friend and would abandon their friendship in the rocks because he was in love with her. Now by the end of episode, we can see that he was develoing developing and admitted how pathetic he was. Personally, I'd love if in the next episodes, we would see Seung-ho sincerely apologizing to Seok-ryu for that 3 years of ghosting, then just maybe the sour taste will be removed.

I don't wish for any romance to automatically appear between them, so I hope the writer has some magic up in her fingers.

I'm very sorry you went through this, I will point out though that high functioning depression does exist. Depression…
You're right, there are also people who suffer from functional depression. They kinda do well on the outside, but inside they're dying. They're not only sad, they're also depressed.

is there any cheating in this ? I saw a clip and the caption said there were
not a major plot point tbh, quite sad and annoying. But seriously, good riddance. you'll feel bad about the sister but it really is not the main story so you'll not be too annoyed if that's the issue.
