I loved this drama but it did feel a little bit of a Mary Sue rags to riches where everything the FL every recommended or touched became gold with like no issues and everyone loved her and trusted her. It became hard to root for her because she never failed even though you could see that her wealth was built from hard work and persistence. Also while I loved the romance between the ML/FL, it got to be very annoying when they have like three kisses in the whole drama but they get together in episode 10? The drama kept dragging out why they weren't getting married to the point where it felt absolutely ridiculous. They were together for around 13 years and they don't even kiss till like year eight? They go on business trips together and stay in different rooms?
I love Zhao Ye's acting but all of her dramas feel like she plays adults in their 20s/30s that act like two people in a teenage romcom where holding hands in the hallway is like scandal!
She is the most suitable person to star as the female lead as she was the younger version of the princess back…
She was a teenager when this was filmed and that's gross. It doesn't matter that she's 18 now, she will look like a child in this show because she was one during filming.
I tend to enjoy things for what they are and not for what I believe they should have been, so I'm chill with the…
My theory is that his growth is emotional and her growth is “physical” not actually but like into a general. So the story sets the base and is more interested in showing how they’re changing then proving where it’s coming from. Hopefully as it moves forward we will get those fight scenes to balance out the emotional weight of the show.
With his status i doubt they could live peacefully in her town..but one can only hope that for them
Curious what’s going to happen to her general title. Is she going to retire and he’s going to become the ruler? I can’t imagine the emperor being thrilled that two of his generals decide to step down at the same time
The way he said "that was the happiest time of his life"… I was like—giiiirl, just forgive him already…
People in the comments want her to hold out but I'm with Changyu, there's no way I have the resolve to hold on to anger if a man is looking at me with eyes like that. (Especially if he is that level of FINE).
In the book, his dialogue is "I'm scared of how strong your slaps are" "Stop kissing me then" "Well maybe you stop hitting me so hard" implying that he's NOT going to stop kissing her lmao.
Changyu, give him shit girl! Marquis needs to earn your love and trust back... AND NO ORANGE PEEL CANDY BC HE"S…
She told him her Orange Peel Candy stash was running low >_< but yes I think she's still processing wtf is going on and I don't blame her. Wym she thawed out a man she found in the snow and he ended up being the Marquis of Wu'an??
Aaargh. I watch each episode as it comes in. Then rewatch. Then come here to chat with people. What else can I…
Rewatching story of Kunning Palace because Zhang Linghe is ALSO unhinged in SOKP. Watching tiktok edits. Moving between here and reddit. Refreshing tiktok to see more edits.

He was a great villain in FP, he should definitely play more complex roles.
WHY DON'T THEY SEE IT?? I've never seen a more attractive man in my LIFE.
