There's no scolding, just a teaching lesson on ep 11. He then explained to her the consequences if she were to follow that road. He wanted her to be honest. From there on, he told her, he was going to be a teacher to her...in fact, jokenly, he told that he deserved to be paid with 5% more of her company's stocks. He was all protective of her...you can say over protective and that is why it lead to the break up. Then, he finally understood that he needed to share everything with her for their relationship to work...of course this is all written from people that you may or may not approve or see differently...but I think that was the inteded portrayal of the characters involved.

Yes, he is a success already internationally. I think domestically in China, he can improve and have a breakthrough. Right now his Weibonumber of followers seem to be staying around 22M...which is not bad but he could do better and get a lot more.

As much as I enjoyed YZ & XK pairing in BCE, if XK doesn't get the same screen time in a drama, I wouldn't want him to participate unless it's going to be a successful one and can help him in his career. Sometimes, participation/screen time is not as important if the character sticks with the public...so when he was in Yanxi, he was a 2ML, but because of his role and the way he acted, it propelled him to the stardom. So for example, rumors had it that XK was offered the role of what Deng Wei did in LYF; but then XK declined and chose Snow Eagle Lord in which he had lots of screen time vs 1/4 of Screen time in LYF. I would have wanted him taken the role in LYF because that character had so much people sighing for that character...and I honestly think that it would have helped XK immensely. So, I just hope that XK would know to choose the right script and role.

Yes, it makes sense cuz the FL is relatively new...she's getting her more popular cuz of her personality, but definitely, I would think XK must be the first in billing. Well, he was behind YZ because Yang Zi is more veteran than him...YZ has been in acting since she was a child for Heavens Sake :D

I agree, Bai Lu seems to have benefited from YZ, i.e. YZ seems to prefer BL above everybody else and has helped her at every step of her career so it seems

Congratulations to Xu Kai for a renewal. I think it's hard for an artist to not have an agency and standing by their own. Hopefully, Xu Kai will breakthrough and become very very popular and to reach to the highest in the near future. I hope YZ will do him right and will give him some good dramas like The Double and what not.

Yeah, Court Lady was a fiasco for him. So Yu Zheng wanted him to film lots of fighting screens with heavy ancient war clothings and on a horse, etc...which caused him to fall off the horse and got a bad back so now, he can't play basketball. And those scenes were cut and never were shown...instead there were like 20+ episodes of Court Lady where XK appeared maybe for 5 minutes and that was it. It's so maddening of what YZ did to XK on this drama.

The official episode is 22 but long before that, they sort of like each other, especially on ep 20.

BtW, this year was so good cuz we got to see 3 dramas of his...XK was so handsome in all of them and did a very good job as well!

This news however is not saying nothing but that FI is getting over 10 millions number of discussions which is good which is to indicate that the drama is having a good impact so far. It really didn't have any negatives on Xu Kai. In fact it's translated and explained what this drama is about...all positive reviews about it and about XK. Furthermore, this channel is called Xu Kai Channel and it does look different than those other channels you're talking about which i have also came across so I know the difference 🙂
