i didn't watch that particular jdrama so i wouldn't know but i sincerely hope it doesn't because this is how tvn described her character on the drama's official website.

probably because the writer is different that would explain why. Agree wholeheartedly. Rich people doing corruption schemes rarely intrigued me . Idk why they gave so much screentime on that when there are other aspects of the show that were more intriguing and unique (maths + genius )

1. basically they plan to rig the maths olympiad exam selection. The exam is just a pretense when in fact they already selected yerin ( the assembly man's daughter) as the school representative.

2. since the school is about to become a specialized school in maths and arts(?), they hired the teacher (female lead ) to coach selected students consisting of kids with rich parents and connection. The teacher obviously refused because she wanted everyone to has an equal chance to join her newly established calculus club

his father is just horrible honestly. No wonder Seung Yoo refuses to open up or even talks to him at all.

yeahh hope so i love Yoon Soo and Seung Yoo math bonding moment . It was the highlight for me.

not a fan of the corruption part . Its getting too much screentime. I would've loved to learn more on Seung Yoo's struggle and pressure of being a genius. That part was intriguing. Lee Do Hyun really plays the part well

more than yerin, the other competitive guy ( i cant remember his name) smells more trouble. Yerin seems like someone that would come around eventually

i read it as Baek Min Jae too and i was confused but i figured it was his father's name or something but i just checked and his father's name is not Baek Min Jae. I think cousin is definitely plausible

Edit : I just thought about it and it seemed like the awards were definitely his? So he actually changed his name??? From Baek Min Jae to Baek Seung Yoo due to the traumatic incident?

The school is corrupt to the core, even the parents . The kids were suprisingly pretty chill tho (for now).

i wanna know too since lee dohyun has been continuously expressing his desire to play in noir genre as villain so many times already. Idk maybe the negotiation fell through or the production changed their mind. Both leads declining offers to star and lead netflix's original series? Something definitely doesn't sound right.

yup you are correct she didn't die (thankfully). I am just saying even if her character ended up dying ( as in they were late to save her after she ingested the poisoned yogurt), i am not sure if i care enough because she didn't get a proper character's introduction. Her story came so sudden with no prior buildup.

i wish they would have given a proper character's introduction on Yang Sun ( other than being Goo Young's crush) before deciding to put her in danger. i am not sure i care enough even if she actually ended up dead.
