same. i actually thought the rain scene would be earlier on in the show since i saw it in the highlight teaser but now i feel like it'll play a huge part in them finding back together again after the cat got out of the bag. either way it's one of my most anticipated scenes!!

almost finished catching up with the recent episodes and gosh i just wanna personally hand kim jaeyoung a baeksang 😮‍💨 he's so damn good at portraying these types of traumatized/wounded characters you just can't help but feel for him with the way he expresses emotions.
and sena!!! she just keeps getting cooler every episode and i love the way sooyoung plays her with so much vulnerability. everytime she's with raik i can basically feel it weighing on her; while he got so comfortable around her so quickly, she couldn't fully let her guard down because knew she has that big secret hanging above her head and the bubble obviously has to burst at some point.
(really love her relationship with cheonun's head lawyer too and i'm extremely curious to find out more about her father's case...)

stopped right before the ep6 ending bc i'm avoiding watching the reveal a bit more til monday lmao. but i'm glad it's the midway point of the show because that means there's so much time for raik and sena to face each other fully and without pretenses.. once they get over that hurdle their relationship will take a complete turn and i'm so excited to see some more romantic moments between them bc we're in dire need of it tbh 😭 i need a bit more levity bc this show really is quite heavy on the heart (the directing nicely helping with that too).

as for culprits... no idea tbh they're doing a good job with the whodunit aspect because so far i'm still not convinced of anyone and believe the real culprit is either someone we haven't met or it's just much more complicated than we think.

when sena mentioned that raik's ears tend to twitch a little when he is nervous or lying, i was shocked because i remember seeing that exact habit on han daon in the judge from hell. it seems like something kim jaeyoung either does a lot himself or likes giving his characters 😂

very apt comment, love your insight! and i agree on the second paragraph having had similar experiences. it's easy to cling to things like this when you literally have nothing else in your life to keep you going.

people are definitely forgetting that it's both a fictional story (a romance centered one specifically and will thus come with classic conventions of exactly that genre) and that these characters are complex and /need/ flaws that make for compelling development and storytelling.

trying to not go insane thinking about this drama and its premise 😵 his previous dramas were all rather heavy or not proper romcoms so this will be SUCH a treat. also looking forward to seeing nam jihyun bc they look like such a good pairing! curious wether the writing will deliver, their previous work soundtrack#1 was pretty ok but not my favorite.

it's a rookie writer, so no previous dramas sadly :( i tried digging around a little and found some post by a former colleague congratulating her and apparently she has won a writing award before and has been around for a while, but just hasn't had any big successes until now. i'm happy that she finally got her big chance.
