the title is more of a wordplay around his name. do raik sounds like ddorai (slang for crazy/eccentric) so i dol i (ai dol ai) is a combination of idol (aidol) and dorai (dolai)
i think the earlier eng. translations of the title went with idol eye or idol kid because ai means child and also just sounds like eye
