i just finished watching both new eps and I AM LOSING MY MIND AT HOW GOOD IT IS??? it's become a comfort drama so fast for me. i love how they're going about everything: the characters, the themes about service workers' struggles (everyone saying this drama has no substance to it; maybe get a job first and then we can talk!), the romantic buildup/relationship, guwon finally deciding to fight over the company - and with the best reason in mind, the way tropes are handled in such a fun and refreshing way, etc etc.... and i wanna comment on so many scenes but i'd be here all day, because i'm enjoying all of them😂
it was neither random nor forced lol. the relationship between the leads was always meant to be romantic and that decision was finalized long before the actual story itself was 😂
I seriously find it absurd that some people think romcoms aren't worthy of good ratings, because in my opinion,…
you're taking the words out of my mouth! i'm in the same boat, life has me so stressed out & anxious recently, and KTL was able to loosen me up a ton. that's reason enough why we need these types of dramas. i think romcoms should deserve high ratings especially /because/ they're fun, since that's the point of a romcom; if a horror/thriller is supposed to make you feel on edge, a mystery is supposed to intrigue you, then a romcom's job is supposed to make make you feel good and happy. that's the nature of the genre. and if a show fullfills that, then why shouldn't it deserve a good rating? surely if a romcom doesn't suceed in delivering good romance and comedy then it's also just not written well, which isn't the case here.

this show is chef's kiss (pun intended).
