yep plus it was only his "vision" so he did not end up blowing the building up. it was just his plan initially because the gold was underneath it. and yeah he did speak it all himself, he had an italian language teacher to help him with his lines

technically on a happy note, the leads do have to separate but meet up regularly every year for a limited time (2 weeks iirc) in switzerland where they have a house together. but since it's quite a short time it could be bittersweet depending on how you see it. they don't specify if that is how it will be forever so you can just headcanon a happier ending for them if you want lol. as for seo dan and gu seung jun, he dies unfortunately trying to protect her and she then ends up staying single and leaving for russia to pursue her music career.
the writer-director combo is insane!!! plus it'll be on tvn so maybe a studio dragon production too. has all the ingredients to be a great drama; can't wait!
