"from fantasy romance and comedy to a wholesome family drama, with humanistic aspects of relieving ghostsβ grudges and the fun of a mystery investigation drama." so there it is lol, romance enjoyers we won π€
but overall i'm super excited for this drama β i've been wanting one with a nice mix of genres like this <3 reminds me heavily of from now on, showtime which is a good sign if anything!
looks like i'm traveling back into the joseon dynasty to get my law+romance fix, after strangers again left me disappointed lol. me and sageuks don't mesh well but the synopsis intrigues me and i am kinda curious as to how the lawyer profession works in a historical setting. i might just give it a try. tho i may have to back out if there really is a love triangle :s
this is so much fun omg, i'm not even into dating reality shows but i stumbled upon this on viki and got hooked. the idea to combine an office setting with a dating show makes it rlly refreshing!
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it extremely irritating that Disney+ only has English with Closed Captioning…
yes it's extremely annoying imo. closed captions are literally just the transcript of the english dub, so they aren't necessarily even a correct translation of the korean, that's why they're often inaccurate too. and they always have those sound descriptions like you mentioned :/ netflix also has CC subtitles when there's a dub, but at least they have the regular subs as an option but sadly that doesn't seem to be case for disney..
That's the worst role he could get. Remember what they did with Ma Dong Seok? Yeah me neither.
yeahh.. and with where the MCU is going atm i don't think it'll be a spectacular role for psj either. i'd much rather have him be in a more serious hollywood project. nonetheless, i'll still show up in theatres to see him lmao
I like it so far. Obviously like others have said, they're worried the ending will be bad, but that's with any…
yeah the ml is definitely just very emotionless/guarded for now. but i've seen kim young kwang in another drama (d-day, recommend it if you like disaster dramas!) and he's a terrific actor, he does have the range! i think we just need to wait for him to open up here.
So the ML doesn't know who the FL really is and that his mother is the one who sold her house, right? Or does…
i got the same impression, i think he doesn't know. he seems way to caught up in his own misery and not caring about other people's business. he's definitely going to find out soon (and when the FL has probably started to like him at that!)
I don't understand the comments that say this is boring or slow placed. So just because it has only 6 episodes,…
Right!! it's not slow paced at all π There is just the right amount of time spent on setting up characters and teasing the lore, which obviously can't all be revealed at once and part 2 has already begun covering up most of it. tbh I think it's because they made the goofy decision to split a 12-ep drama into two parts (and air those over a 3 week span on top of that, why not just air all 6 eps at once ffs) that people are getting impatient with the story.. That and in general the Netflix binge model with minimum amount of episodes has just conditioned people into consuming media in the span of light, with barely any time to breathe and actually spend appropriate time with story and characters. People just aren't used to stories taking their time anymore, they want the whole plot spoon-fed to them and they want it fast. I feel like it's especially bad with thriller or mystery orientied shows like this one. Whenever a story doesn't reveal all the important plot-details right away or takes its time with the characters, they immediately call it filler, slow-paced, bad writing etc. At least that's how I've observed it, as someone who used to watch many western series that spanned over several seasons and the way people react to serial media these days is so vastly different than it used to be.
